We visited on Valentine's Day to watch Rita Bix, the drag queen, perform and had a fantastic evening! We were greeted with red carnations upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. Mugshots in Eastbourne is truly unique, as it is not only a cafe/deli during the day but also hosts book clubs and various other events. They have a wide range of products for dogs, including raw food and toys. Kiran, the owner, gives a warm welcome to every guest and Mugshots definitely deserves a big shoutout for their fantastic service.

Newly opened in The Meads, Mugshots cafe is a delight. There may only be a small menu but the food is delicious and not expensive. Comfortable sofas on one side of the room are great I'm not so keen on the bar stool style chairs and high tables on the other as I never find bar stools comfortable. There's an interesting range of art work on display and a photographic gallery and studio downstairs so the name is most appropriate. I've now been in several times and really like the friendly atmosphere. Service is a little bit slow so sit and relax and don't worry about it!!

My husband and I decided to try out Mugshots cafe because it seemed unique and inviting. And we were not disappointed! The food and atmosphere were both exceptional. We ordered the Honey Soya sauce Chicken, Quinua Barley with courgettes, and shared a stuffed red pepper - all of which were delicious. We couldn't resist taking home two pieces of homemade cake, a vegan chocolate and strawberry cake, and a Victoria sponge, both of which were divine. The cafe was warm and welcoming, with the owner Kiren being friendly and talkative, and the chef for the day, Dorota (of Dorota's Delicious Food), was cheerful and lively.
