New China - Speisekarte

We only ever use New China for Chinese take away. It is the best. Set menu B for two. Heaps of flavour, great rice, generous portion size and reasonably priced.

I have visited this restaurant a few times for takeout, and the food is always delicious and reasonably priced. I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a tasty and affordable Chinese takeout option.

My friend and I ordered a half portion of Aromatic Crispy Duck through Just Eat (as Deliveroo only offered a quarter portion). It was perfect. The Lemon Chicken and Beef and Mushroom dishes were tasty as well, but we were confused as to why the Egg Fried Rice was a dark, nutty color. Speisekarte ansehen

Ordered a takeaway for four of us. Arrived early (within 25 minutes on a Tuesday) and nice a hot. Generous portions. Nice Crispy Aromatic Duck to start. The Chicken Chop Suey was too red and seemed to be full of Sodium Mono. Lovely Beef and Mushroom in Oyster sauce. Lemon Chicken too lemony. Good

The waitress who asked for our order gave dirty looks, sighed when there was miss communication and was overall very rude. When my partner asked another waitress where the toilet was she looked annoyed. Food was standard overal I’d say a 5/10 There’s also a 12.5% service charge that I didn’t feel was fair to pay, considering our the service was some of the worse I’ve had. We’d normally tip but definitely not here.

I have ordered the restaurant new china at some places and normally eating is really pleasant. This time it was very disappointing. the sesamtoasts tasted not much, the muted pork dumplings tasted as if they had sausage meat in them instead of tasty Chinese pork, which was dessert in Chinese sose was ok, but not their taste buds alight and the Bratpork kitchen had very little roasted wine in it. as a shame as I really rated this restaurant. I cannot provide a review of the food from this takeaway, but I wanted to make sure you know the precise location. It is New China takeaway on High Street in Epping. When I tried to pay for my order with a £20 note, the person at the counter claimed they couldn't accept my "Scottish" money. This was quite offensive as Scottish pounds are in fact sterling issued by UK banks. I was unable to place an order and the person appeared frustrated that I wouldn't pay in another way.

Tried here because of recommendation from a friend,and wasn't disappointed we got a house special,food was piping hot,and really well cooked,the vegetables,particularly the broccoli was lovely and fresh so much so that even as avid meat eaters,we both would have vegetarian options next time(and there will be a next time) my wife had duck on rice, very tasty duck juicy and again well prepared 5star higene rating not often seen in takeaways, good portion size,excellent value for money,and quite a wide delivery area all in all very good and worth trying

When friends visited last night we decided to order Chinese food. We ordered from the New China for the first time. Rather than main courses we ordered lots of starters to share along with noodles,rice,chips sauces......like a big chinese meze! Great fun. It ended up costing £40 so £10 per head. Good value we thought. The restaurant sent us free prawn crackers, chicken wings and a large bottle of diet pepsi (tends to be the norm to get freebies now especially on large orders) The menu is extensive with several set menus to save time on choosing and we may try one of those next time.
