Stunning food and service for a birthday treat away from Pen Cefn Farm Holiday

Not what we expected.,poor lunchtime menu, did not enjoy either starter or main course. We definitely chose the wrong eatery.

Amazing. We live locally and it's great to see places like this around. Amazing food, service and lovely hosts. Very deserving of all the recognition they receive.

Came up from London to take my parents to Next Door and we were blown away by the quality of the food and the brilliant service. The lunch menu (3 courses for £35) is an absolute bargain too. Highly recommeded we can't wait to come back!

I’ve been waiting to try this place for ages and it didn’t disappoint. From the moment we arrived we were met with a warm welcome and excellent service throughout. The Tasting menu was heavenly, the food was superb, outstanding and a delight for all. The staffs knowledge, attention to detail was impeccable. The wine pairing was so skilful and the whole experience was perfect. Thank you to Ric ,Vicki and all the team for a wonderful evening in your beautiful historic restaurant.

My dad and I had a really lovely meal here on the weekend; the food was delicious and we spoke to the owner/ head chef who was very friendly and even offered to do two taster sized plates as I couldn't chose. All the waiters and waitresses were so friendly and professional. Special mention to the very dinky waitress who was so welcoming and excellent at her job. We will be back.

I was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food served. We took on the tasting menu with matching wines, photo attached. The food just delicious, the wines were well chosen and complemented each dish perfectly. The wines were chosen and the reason for their inclusion explained by Tom, mid 20’s. If I’d known that much about wine at that age, the world would have been my lobster! Staff were young and knew what they were about. They made the evening a success.
