Food was good, although portions on the small side compared to other Chinese restaurants in this area and elsewhere. Staff were reasonably friendly although they did seem less friendly than other Chinese restaurants we’ve been to, both in this area and elsewhere.

A really interesting variety of Asian cuisine, food fresh; was cooked in the kitchen area, catering for extra spicy to mild in a nice atmosphere and surroundings; clean facilities, neatly laid out tables, good staff service prompt and unfussy. If am in Limehouse soon again, I shall definitely return.

My first time visiting this restaurant and the food did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was tasty and fresh. We ordered xiao-long bao, kung po chicken, chilli turnip squares as well as their special udon noodles. We are a family of 4 with a very fussy 6 year old and the kids loved the udon and xiao-long bao so we had to order another portion of the xiao-long bao. The restaurant had a nice chilled atmosphere and the staff was friendly and accomodating. Highly recommend this restaurant which is just a short walk from the Westferry DLR.

The food at this restaurant is truly delicious and authentic, but the service leaves something to be desired. My friends and I went there for lunch and found that the waiters were not very attentive. They seemed to be in the back, some even eating their own lunch, and didn't notice when we needed assistance. We often had to wait for them to come by and even then, they would only take one request from each table before leaving. When it came time to pay the bill, I asked if they could replace an orange juice that had been spilled, and they were very rude in their response, despite our polite inquiry.

As of 16.4.24, the restaurant is now under new management. I had asked about this change 10 weeks ago and was told there was no new management, but now it has been confirmed. Unfortunately, I have found the service to be rude and obnoxious during my last two visits under the new management. After being a regular customer for 17 years, I have decided not to return. Instead, I have been going to Chinese Gourmet for the past 8 months. While Noodle Street has a more spacious dining area, Chinese Gourmet offers delicious and generously portioned dishes at a good value, particularly their hand pulled noodles.
