I tried the 7-course tasting menu at this restaurant and every dish was outstanding. The staff was knowledgeable and the atmosphere was great. I would highly recommend it for special occasions, even though it's on the expensive side. The high quality of the food and service justify the price.

The fine dining experience at the historic Balmoral Hotel was excellent. The food was delicious and expertly crafted. The service was attentive and welcoming. The dining room was both elegant and cozy. I would highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely come back again in the future.

During the holiday we wanted to try the tasting menu at Number One. Luckily they were able to absorb my gluten allergy. We loved EVERY course. As an American it was a good way for us to taste local items. The dishes were also tasty and beautiful. We were in other Michelin Stars tasting menus and this can be our favorite!

Went to Number one in Edinburgh's Princess Street Balmoral Hotel on Saturday evening and once again had the best meal ever started with the goats cheese yummy then had Salmon for main and banana souffle to follow excellent. the little titbits in between were excellent too as was the bread. Not the cheapest but certainly the best!

We dined at Number One at the Balmoral Hotel when we stayed at the Hotel after christmas and our experience was what you might expect of an award winning restaurant. service and food both impressive, everything artistically presented and the atmosphere warm and inviting. It is, of course, expensive, so it has to be a rare treat, but we would certainly go again

The food was outstanding, with each dish being incredibly delicious and complex. We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairing, which was a perfect complement to the meal. The service was impeccable, with the staff demonstrating a high level of expertise and coordination. Everyone was knowledgeable about the dishes we were served, making us feel like we were dining at a top-tier restaurant, especially one with a Michelin star.
