"Friendly welcome, seated straight away. We arrived about 10 minutes before the rest of our party and our drinks order was taken immediately. As soon as the rest of our party arrived, drinks order was taken at once and we were also asked did we want popodoms etc. popodoms arrived with spiced onion, mango chutney, yoghurt and mint dip plus a fresh herb tomatoes and onion dip, which was delicious. Two of our party wanted curries that were specific to their tastes and the waiter gave their wishes to the chefs and they both said their curries were fantastic. The rest of us ordered specials off the menu and they were all excellent. The Peshawari Nan was knock out good. The chilli paneer started was superb. 10 out of 10. If we are ever in the area again, we would revisit."

"Our second visit was even better than our first and that was great! My wife and I visited the Puckersley with friends who live close by. It was our second visit and we remembered that the food was good. A new menu had been introduced just that evening (Friday the 13th) and I noticed a selection of “Rice Bowls” from which I chose the King Prawn option. I can’t fully remember the menu description but it was something like “Salt and Pepper Spicy King Prawns Rice Bowl” MY GOODNESS! I have eaten in some fancy places and never have I been more surprised and delighted by a dish than I was that night. It was served beautifully, the prawns were lightly battered like Tempura prawns they were on a bed of egg fried rice surrounded by a lovely sauce containing goodness knows how many different chilli peppers and beautifully diced vegetables. It was even more enhanced by some greenery (sorry, i forgot what it was) which reminded me of a lightly fried rocket which just melted in your mouth. The dish is a TRIUMPH and must not be missed. I look forward to trying the other versions of this dish on our next visit and we will certainly visit again. Our friends ordered steaks which arrived cooked exactly as they requested which is unusual in itself but not, our friends say, at the Puckersley! My wife could only look enviously at my bowl but fortunately reported that her Scampi was excellent too. The waiting staff (All girls as it happened) were very happy, smiling and extremely efficient too. DO NOT MISS THIS PUB, IT IS A GEM."

"We were seated at our table for 4 and once our drinks arrived, starters followed very quickly. We were continuously interrupted by different waiters asking us are we ready to have our main meal. I asked could we finish enjoying our drinks first, but within minutes we were interrupted again as they wanted the plates cleared and one of us still hadn't even finished! Again, we were asked are we ready for the main course. Served main course and after i put my knife snd fork down just to take a minute, the waiter was there asking if I'd finished! Felt rushed, even though restaurant was getting quiter as people were leaving. Would not go again even though food was tasty. Vegetarian options: I had vegetable korma. "Just had a Sunday carvery here and must say it was really good! The food was extremely tasty and service was excellent. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 Stars was because it the tables were rammed into a very small conservatory! All in all a nice experience and my mother enjoyed it as it was her 93rd birthday."

"We visited on Sunday 18/9/22 and it was very very busy. We managed to find somewhere to sit and despite how busy it was, we where served very quickly. We got the Roast beef dinner with extra cauliflower cheese as a side. The food was faultless and it was clean plates all around. The staff came to check we where happy with our food and are always friendly. Just waiting for our desserts now. Highly recommend and we will definitely be visiting again soon."
