"we had a wonderful experience in the restaurant. the chef was so courteous for my pregnant woman, wherever possible to offer alternatives. she actually noticed without telling us and came out to talk us through the menu. we had the 6 course tasting menu that was all very well thought out and the aromen were incredible. the wine pairing I had was also very friendly staff. as I would say a wonderful experience and unpredictablely recommend."

"absolutely amazing experience here last night best meal iw ever had. online for our jubilee arrived here n on the table was a budding flower n a ballon. at the arrival took too table and got a glass champagne each on the house to celebrate then had a free oyster each to try that were amazing. we had snuggles to share for starter then whole lobster that was really wonderful the best was ever tried and a fish mixed grill to share all amazing. on a Monday and main courses were bogof, who felt a real bargain guilty to pay that much for what we had good the full price. the staff was beautiful and so helpful, friendly and had time to talk to them. really nice cooled restaurant with all fishing on the show and open kitchen, so they can see that everything is cooked. in any case again asap thank them so much to all the workers for our night really special."

"Loved it here. Food is absolutely delicious. We had gyoza, tofu steak, miso ramen, shoyu ramen and mochi. Couldn't fault any of them and can't wait to come again and try some other dishes. Sasou tea so good too. Service very quick and loved the quirky surroundings. 100% recommend. It is open too now even though the listing here says temporarily closed. "Beautifull hotel, I guess one can call it trendy , but I just don 't understand how they can justify the price £130/night and that most of the time will go to £160 as they run out of entry level ones. So I guess the answer is there because people pay for it! But let 's just make some relevant comparisons Birmingham Grand literally in the heart of the city, brand new, 5* hotel, with all recently decorated rooms to the highest standard is £135 15 for breakfast. Needless to say rooms are air conditioned, fully equipped and genuinelly very posh. Hotel has lifts, has porters and the service is top notch. The Lion is barelly 4* just for trendiness alone, but the actual quality of furnishing is closer to 3*, has no lift and you will be lugging your bags up and down mutiple flights of stairs (and I mean multiple like 8 going up and down) trought narrow corridors to mediocre room (nothing wrong with it just mediocre) which isn 't even air conditioned. Sorry, I just don 't get it. That said restaurant is good fully fine dining if you are into it. Althought in my oppinion it doesn 't fit into the rest of the hotel. So it is ~3.5* hotel which is very youghtfull and trendy and then you get 5* fine dining with very tiny portions for the dinner (which is not criticism of restaurant, it is very good on it 's own). In conclussion I just don 't get what niche this hotel is filling, who stays there and why. The price for the rooms should be £75 95 tops. Shreesbury is not exactly prime tourists destination either (at least shouldn 't). But it seems it is working out for them, I just would not recommend it, I would not stay in it again and it is definatelly not worth the price. Neither in isolation, nor in comparison."

"WOW our first visit tonight at The Curry House and most certainly won't be the last. From start to finish everything was perfect. Everyone was very polite couldn't do enough for us absolutely amazing customer service. If you're looking for fresh food, good atmosphere and amazing service The Curry House Shrewsbury is the place!!!! If I could give them more than a 5 star then I would."
