The kitchen team created a bespoke tasting menu for our party. The food was fabulous, the attention to detail exceptional. The waiting staff were friendly and the bar was lovely. Highly recommended

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch to celebrate a family birthday. The food and drinks were top-notch. Oksy at the bar and her colleagues in the restaurant provided exceptional, friendly service. I highly recommend this place.

Superb food, which was to be expected, but a really friendly, intimate atmosphere and attentive service. If there was any quibbles, the room we were in was not the best lit and I nearly took out a member of staff with the outward facing restroom door, so maybe that could be better designed! But really, small points, well done all

We ate in the restaurant on our first night in the hotel. Only slight complaint would be that there wasn't a great deal of choice, probably only a choice of three/four starters, mains and two desserts or cheese board. Slightly less than the sample menu on the website. Having said that the food that we had was excellent and the service matched it, with the staff very friendly and attentive.

Had high hopes for a birthday evening meal for the first time post covid. In the end I was quite disappointed. Poorly presented starter, small main with all accompaniments weirdly pureed, first choice of wine not available, but the biggest disappointment was the loss of the cheese trolley, a highlight of previous visits. In theory down to covid but realistically about cost, thus was pre plated without any choice. Food aside, service was good. Love this place usually and staff always attentive. We went to have the a two course lunch and dining room well set ouf . Menu sounded pretty good and we all went for the same chicken dish...well it was v.edible but the portion size was a joke.! Small roulade of chicken, 3 slivers of carrot and one tiny potato. Pudding size equally tiny. We left feeling very let down. This Hotel must be careful. Please charge an extra couple of pounds or so and up the anti.! It is losing its atmosphere of being a special venue. Front of House not obvious.

After driving all the way from the Orkneys, we were tempted by the cozy bed at the hotel, but we resisted and headed to the secluded bar before being led into the restaurant. The restaurant was also dimly lit and secluded, creating the perfect ambiance for a couple to relax and enjoy. We had some difficulty deciding what to order, but once we saw the tasting menu, the decision was made for us. We were delighted to be served plate after plate of delicious and diverse Scottish fare, including seafood and game. The staff did a fantastic job of hosting us and making the meal even more enjoyable.

I don't normally write reviews as I've no idea who reads them really but felt I should after such a lovely meal here this weekend. We were here last week and for my wife, it's the first time she's ventured out for a meal this year. She was a little nervous but the staff were very friendly and professional and put her very much at ease. We have not been to 1 Devs for some time, but after several of our friends as well as a couple business associates mentioned how good the restaurant was, we felt we had to try it, and so pleased we did. The amuses were delightful, full of flavour and my favourite, much to my wife's surprise was the vegetarian one, so delicious I could have had a plate of them... Speisekarte ansehen
