"After a Saturday morning conference at Balliol, I expected to eat something at Ashmolean coffee, but there was no opportunity to have all the tables. So I came back from where I came from, hoping to find a place to eat while heading for Cornmarket. Everywhere it seemed to be busy, so I decided to go to a territory unknown by a small street, which is where I quickly found the coffee. The smoking area was empty, and I could see that there were also several seats available inside, so I came in.It wasn't clear if it was table service, that was, so I went to the counter, scanned the ceiling menu and asked for a tuna and cheese panini. You can't go too bad with that. There was no freshly squeezed orange juice, even though I was on the menu, but I was headed to an orange juice bottle in the fridge. That should do... The panini arrived quite quickly, and the service was kind. And I could see the BBC News channel while I was taking a few minutes of what would otherwise be a busy day. I'd love to show up again."

the personal was friendly and the inner is beautiful. But we were really disappointed at the food we ordered. both courts were bland and uninteresting. it was also expensive, but I wouldn't make it pay so much for good food.

This is a very basic place, but if you want to smoke shisha, it is good to visit it: the service is quite slow and the place tends to be busy, so get ready to wait. There are some drinks and food in the menu to ask if you want to eat something too. Speisekarte ansehen

First of all a clarification not made: the paninis taken in menus are accompanied by chips and not fries. Then one of us took a double burger cheese, he had to return the fries since they were still frozen and when they came back, they were still barely cooked. This time we taste the burger... The steak was too cooked. My friend made me taste it and I've never tasted such a hard steak.

My partner and I were meeting two friends who just bought coffee and were still drinking it. We were asked to leave in an incredibly rude way unless my partner and I also bought a coffee, which we were about to do since we had just arrived. The waiter took the two cafes of our friends and gave them back their money, insisting that the four of us left the place. I would not recommend 1/10

Located right next to the Frailes Magdalen Street entrance cage is ideally located to visit Ashmolean Museum nearby and you like to sit.We visited lunch in the cafe on Saturday 20 February, we asked for coffee, which was good and a pair of paninis that was freshly prepared and served with an introductory salad garrison and fries. The staff is friendly and the coffee shop is clean and reasonable. I always felt a bit intimidating in this place of passage. Obviously, not physically but always so full of Arabic speakers or fashion, pretentious full types. However recently agreed to go with a friend of mine who is obviously a native speaker of Arabic. It was a fantastic experience in all aspects. The staff was friendly, the coffee was excellent and it turns out shisha are extremely nice like this! As a recovered drug addict is shisha probably the only thing I've ever tried non-smoking! As I said, I found it very nice and it was a good social activity. It almost seemed to encourage conversation and reinforce ties. I guess it's the shared experience or something. Of course, all this is bas...

we visited the organic deli cafe shortly before a tour through the university libraries. we told the employees that we were in a timetable and they were happy to serve us quickly. I am vegan and my partner is coeliac so that we often fight to find places we both enjoy eating. the breakfast menu organic deli cafe, however, had the choice for both of us and could be adjusted if possible. we both enjoyed our breakfast, but my partner said that the gluten-free pancakes were the best he ever tasted. it was the culinary highlight of our journey. the location is also something of a 'hidden gem', hidden down a side street that she could easily walk past. so keep them attentive! thank you. "I've been going to Oxford for 3 years now and in that time to be frank struggled to find a decent go to restaurant. I can now say with delight i've found my destination. I present SPICED ROOTS a little caribbean culinary gem. The fresh perfectly cooked food is absolutely delicious and gives off that home cooked by mummy vibe and is beautifully presented. The chilli and garlic prawns had my eyes closed Mark Weins style (if you know you know) so juicy with an incredible depth of flavour, the Trini doubles not only were seasoned to perfection they left you wanting more and the Jerk chicken spring rolls were an absolute triumph. For mains we had the ackee and callaloo Jerk Tempah (vegetarian) and the Jerk chicken. Both came with rice peas, plaintain and salad. Not only were the portions huge the flavours of both dishes were just mind blowingly delicious. Then we embarked on dessert and had the beautiful spiced rum cake and a selection of 3 home made ice creams namely Coconut, Guinness and the old Caribbean favourite Rum and Raisin, all recommended by the owner. It's at this point I feel compelled to speak about the rum raisin ice cream. I've eaten this ice cream on numerous occasions at numerous locations in Jamaica over my many years and I tell you no word of a lie this was hands down the best rum and raisin ice cream I've ever tasted, it literally left us speechless. So to summarise, this place has great food, great music, great service and a wonderfully charming owner who's totally invested in serving great, incredibly tasty, authentic Caribbean food clearly prepared with love. What more could you ask for. Fair to say it was meant to be. Uncle Jay."
