"I just returned from a 5-night stay at Cranfield University in Bedfordshire. During my free time, I had the opportunity to explore the local area and discover some hidden gems away from the typical tourist paths. I'm excited to share my first find: The Carrington Arms. This charming establishment is located in the picturesque yet quaint village of Moulsoe in Buckinghamshire, in southern England. "Not good. Was booked for Sunday lunch at 1.30pm. Had run out of Gammon. Just beef or chicken left. They had served a party before us they said. Waited for ages between courses. The staff sat about the bar eating biscuits but didn't check on us. Would have liked more gravy. Of the 3 desserts , no cheesecake left , ice cream was all defrosted , so only brownie left , served with cream in a hot jug. Or cheeseboard. Had to go to bar to ask for coffee as staff were dragging tables about the floor, then reordered as lady forgot what 4 coffees we ordered. Mine was spilt into saucer so the paper sugar was soaked. Was not impressed with mouldy look of tiling behind the toilet door. For £16.95 for main course we expected a better experience."

"First visit for a drink bite to eat. Ordered the vegan sausage baguette When it arrived it looked like a ‘meat a meat sausage’ I took a tiny bite felt sure it was. I asked the waitress was it vegan, bear in mind I had told her 3 times I was a vegan. Of course I didn’t eat it the waitress said if ordered the meat version !! But why would I !! I’m vegan !! I left the food the manager came out and instead of an apology he said if ordered the meat version! Again! Why would I ! I’m vegan!! No apology! I left the food and half a glass of wine and walked out!! The manager came rushing out, presumably because I didn’t pay fir my wine … and took s picture of me leaving in my car??!! Why?? I did nothing wrong!! Awful experience … customer care non existent!! I can only thank god I eat a teeny bit and wasn’t sick!! Not that they would care … horrendous"
