Great service, fabulous food, which accommodates dietary requirements, which some of our party had. We joined for Saturday lunch, a group of 6, super experience. Nice garden which is dog friendly.

Upon arrival, we received a warm and friendly welcome. The menu is somewhat limited, featuring typical pub fare. Although they offer real ale, we were disappointed to find that it was not in the best condition.

Relaxing atmosphere, staff very helpful. Food tasted like it had been made freshly by a skilled chef with good mix of herbs and spices. The Jerk Chicken came with a lovely little salad (could maybe have done with a bit more chicken. Deserts excellent.

Sunday lunch walk in for 2 great food big portions couldn’t fault the quality all home cooked roasties and Yorkshire pudding all round great place Girls lovely and friendly we’ll definitely be back Ps I had calamari to start an this is the only place round here iv actually eaten it all wasn’t frozen nice and fresh.

We had a fantastic lunch at this restaurant! The venue was superb with a lovely garden and a wide selection of drinks and food to choose from. What stood out the most, however, was the friendly, happy, and helpful staff. The prices were reasonable and they even offered table service. Thank you - we will definitely be returning and will recommend this place to our friends.

We made a reservation for Sunday lunch and were greeted warmly upon arrival. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was relaxed. The tables were well-maintained. The Sunday roast was delicious, and we even found room for dessert! There was a great variety of desserts to choose from, and the cheese board looked fantastic. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and we will definitely return.

When did it get so difficult to just walk to a pub for lunch on a whim, instead of needing to book in advance, and not be turned away? I'm astounded that pubs can afford to turn people away ,we were told they expecting lots of people in very shortly we wouldn't be able to get lunch. How do you know they all going to show up,? Also hardly anyone actually in there already, we could have ordered a simple sandwich and a drink would have taken less than 15 minutes. Bad service, almost couldn't be bothered by passers by.

We chose this pub with rooms for its proximity to a venue at Castle Goring a few minutes away by car.The 15 rooms are in a purpose built block behind the pub itself.The room was comfortable and clean with all amenities and facilities with a spacious bathroom.However at £160 per night with breakfast included although the mattress was reasonably comfortable the duvet was synthetic and heavy and the pillows of poor quality It is these details you make a judgment on the rating and thus four rather than five stars However the breakfast was excellent and included a vegetarian option

Haven’t been into this pub for many many years and was very much looking forward to trying it out for a family birthday lunch. Have to say it was disappointing. We had our 8 year old daughter with us and so asked for a children’s menu… the waiter told us there was no children’s menu so we could pick something from the side orders or anything from the main menu. So I replied ‘Great so she can have a children’s portion?’ The waiter then replies yes but you’ll be charged the full price of the meal!!!
