"We end up in this tavern because the waiter is a friend, and therefore to be fair I won't talk about the naïve service, in the sense of true and genuine. Small room but with three well-divided spaces: ground floor room, mezzanine and outside. Short menu written on the blackboard, excellent and full of Liguria. The fish rules. Fairly long wine list with unusual and many organic proposals. We chose a good sparkling Trebbiano that held its own with the more fashionable Proseccos. Then carpaccio of pink prawns and cot. Two first courses: pasta and chickpeas with cod and pasta with potatoes and mussels. Perfect. Second squid with vegetables in a pan. Fresh and soft that melted in your mouth. I also appreciated the leafy greens on the plate. To close, an honorable tart with bitter orange marmalade. Coffee with mocha, which won't have cream but still better than the horrible coffees in most restaurants. Bill of 103 euros for two. Very honest given the freshness of the fish and the loving care with which the shy and almost unfriendly chef puts into preparing the dishes."

Authentic and easy going, the menu is traditional with a twist but without being pretentious, simplicity is key. They have a great selection of natural wines. Unlike most of the other touristic restaurants in the area, this is a cosy place serving honest food. Highly recommended. Make sure you try the home made panna cotta!

After discovering this excellent Osteria in the Savona docks I have been eating here rather often. The quality of the food is excellent, although the menu is not particularly varied. Popular Italian cuisine is boldly and creatively reinterpreted with delicious results. The wine list is just as good and mainly consists of biodynamic wines. And coffe is made with the traditional Italian home moka! Finally, the staff's rustic but warm welcome makes the experience all the more pleasant. Highly recommended!
