"One star is one too many. I got gifted a voucher for afternoon tea for two, so me and my mother chose to go. The previous time we attempted to go to this restaurant, we travelled to this store specifically for the afternoon tea, and...got turned away due to there not being enough staff members. We arrived today and immediately got told we would have to wait a long time for food, even though there were only about tables seated. Our tea and coffee arrived, I got asked if I wanted sugar, I said yes, and it never arrived. In the end I went up and got this myself. After minutes of waiting, our afternoon tea came. There were no labels on any of the menu or food, we didn’t get asked if there were any allergies or what sandwiches we would like. Our scones came with marmalade and butter, with no jam or cream. We had to ask again for this. The staff were very slow, and quite rude at times. The scones were very hard, and the food overall wasn’t very pleasant. My mum also got given dirty cutlery. Whilst being seated, tables from around us actually stood up and left the restaurant, due to this awful service. Whilst being sat, when everyone left there were only tables left, and at this point they actually decided to shut the kitchen. I was very disappointed by the experience we have had, as this was a present gifted to us which we had been looking forward to, it was definately not worth nearly Avoid at all costs."

I ordered the afternoon tea and was surprised to find that the finger/small sandwiches were even smaller than I had anticipated. When I inquired about this, I was told that this was the new standard for their service. The presentation did not match the photos advertised and the sandwiches were served in a glass.

Me and my partner decided to visit for a spot of lunch. We was met by a beautiful display of patisserie. We grabbed menu's to have some food and was told food and drink is to stop being served at After sitting down...and deciding what we wanted, we approached the counter at After standing around for for minutes someone finally approached us stating. No more food or drink being served. Sorry. Not coming back.

I visited this restaurant yesterday and I have to say, it was the worst sandwich I have ever had. My daughter and I ordered a tuna club sandwich and we were extremely disappointed. There were only a few pieces of bacon and lettuce, not much tuna, and an overwhelming amount of tasteless cheese. My daughter returned her sandwich, but the staff did not seem concerned. My bacon sandwich was also terrible and had an odd color. We left feeling sick and disgusted. I would not recommend this restaurant. I arranged to meet a friend for afternoon tea. Bought a voucher on Buy a Gift website that specifically says you do NOT have to book but just turn up with your voucher. I arrived a little after to be told you should have...booked, the kitchen shuts at How ridiculous. So presumably to get afternoon tea' you have to turn up at pm at the latest. Afternoon tea should be from about to Or at least make the opening times clear on websites selling your vouchers. The chap said the branches in London are open for longer hours!! Having now read some of the other appalling reviews for the Swindon branch I'm amazed that that this branch is still open and think maybe I had a lucky escape!!

My wife and had stopped for lunch. I had the all day breakfast and my wife had the mozzarella, basil and tomato baguette. The baguette was cold and soggy to the touch, with the accompanying salad being very poor brown lettuce. The breakfast appeared...to comprise items that had recently been microwaved, as opposed to freshly cooked. The bacon was quite cold and the scrambled eggs were rubbery. The mushroom was good, as were the sausage; though the latter was also cool. The menu said the breakfast came with toasted bloomer but I got brown sliced bread, without butter. The worst part was the plate which was stone cold. The latte was OK, as was the tea, but no sugar was offered. All in all, not...
