"I and my fiancée visited ask tonight to celebrate our 5 years jubilee after we shared our first date here, we thought it would be nice to think new as we were the first time for a few years. the service we received was the second on none, we were greeted with smiles and excellent hospitality. the eating was nice (additions to the chefs! we would ask hereford get to everyone and will definitely visit regularly! we would like to thank you especially for chloe and simon (and the rest of the staff that made our evening special. this is an evening that we will appreciate for many years. wish you all a merry christmas x x"

"I always enjoy dining at this restaurant. I recently went for brunch on a Monday and the food was fantastic as usual. I ordered the Bookshop benedict. They were able to accommodate us even though we hadn't made a reservation. The service was very friendly, but the only downside was the wait for drinks. At one point, we waited 45 minutes and it seemed like they might have forgotten one drink order. It's understandable that mistakes happen, but no one came to check in during that time and there was no acknowledgement when we brought it up, which was disappointing."

"the personal was so friendly and flexible. we also forgot to say that we had food intolerances in the group. the personal was so understanding and went out of the way to come with options. it really did not seem like hate for them that they really provide good food to enjoy and we did. we were 3 times for Sunday dinner and always good and have recently changed the Veg option. no problem. talk with the cook. two options. prepare a Veggie option from ground on. as it will take a little longer, they proposed a few free brot (yummy) to continue? we're coming back."

"The “beef three ways” was beautifully presented on a wooden platter. The steak was cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The cylinder of compressed pulled beef cheek was just as delicious and coated in crispy panko breadcrumbs, providing a delightful textural contrast. The little pot of baby onions and slow-cooked beef was absolutely divine, rich and buttery. The chips were the best I have ever tasted, surpassing even those at Ynyshir. Our waitress, Evelyn-May, was a true delight. She handled the lighthearted banter from two older gentlemen with ease and made us feel welcome and cared for. We couldn’t help but admire her hair! I’m already planning a second visit, despite the long journey from Northern Ireland, so my wife can experience this wonderful little restaurant. All I ask is that Ed can promise to prepare the same dish to the same high standard."
