"We went for lunch on 24th of December around 12pm, the place was empty so I asked to the lady (owner? if they were serving food, which she promptly said to look at the menu that she would ask the cooker. We sat down and looked over the menu. After 5 minutes she came to us but we hadn't decided what to have so she left. It took her another 20 minutes to come back and she was visibly distressed and told us that they were very busy that afternoon and we would have to wait a long time for the food to be ready. My girlfriend asked if she wanted us to leave but she said no. We started asking for food (breakfast rolls and she looked very annoyed at this point but took our order anyway. My girlfriend asked if we would have to wait long for the food since we were only having some rolls and the lady said yes, because they were very busy getting ready for dinner. So we decided to leave. My point is she should've told us since the beginning that they were unable to serve food at that time because they were busy preparing for the afternoon."

Would definitely return for a meal really tasty, we all had the kebabs with rice beans and greens, chips lovely service, chilled and relaxed. Thank You guys xx

First time last night at Portugalles , fantastic food, a great atmosphere and welcoming staff.. We were all so impressed we've booked our Christmas party here and it's only July !

I'm a regular visitor since his opening. I never had a bad experience here. eating is delicious and excellent. the staff are friendly and attentive, without breaking. I would recommend it very much.

highly recommended, traditional Portuguese cuisine of service is excellent and the owner farando, if over and above to meet the expectations, recommended for safe and will many paint back, thanks portugalles

However they have just recently halved the size of their take away hot chocolate but have kept the price of £1.80p, that's just not fair. Other than this the staff running it are really nice people meals are tasty.

Mostly went there to see live music performed by Fil Z. Which was great as usual. Was pleasantly surprised by the the standard of the meal. Hand made real chips and piri piri chicken cooked to perfection. Service staff were polite and helpful. Can’t fault it. Had a lovely evening.

Been coming here now a little while and initially I came alone or with the wife but now I am not allowed to come unless my daughters come too. The place is so welcoming and the food is fantastic. It is great to be able to have little restaurants such as this so close to home (I can walk home after a drink) and have such good quality food. Sagres is nice too.
