Popped in randomly as it's next door to my favorite pub the red lion. Tasted fantastic and really good value for money. Very friendly staff. Had the lamb shank and it just melted in my mouth. Will definitely visit again.

Went to this lovely restaurant for an evening meal once again. Service was good , staff very friendly, not rushed, food was excellent , would definitely reccomend this restaurant And added bonus still 50% off food Mon Tue Wed through September. Well with a visit

Just had a delivery the food was disgusting it looked as if it had been reheated it was very greasy. The popadoms where stale . Called the restaurant to complain to the manager not available tried calling later and it was shut. They even put service charge on when they say delivery was free . Ordered take away by phone. If you collect you get 10% off. Staff is friendly. The main restaurant is on the first floor. There is off street parking. Restaurant was busy. Food was ready at the time I ordered it for. Presentation is nice. Food was ok. Not bad but not that amazing either. We found it slightly on th band side. Price is very reasonable so in context it is very good but I rather pay a bit more for better quality.

On arrival to Raj Mahal Stevenage Old Town,we felt very welcomed by the friendly staff with their customer care. Food was Excellent and worth the wait ,Chicken Tikka starter was very good and the Peshwari naan was light in texture and excellent . Mains of vegetable Kurma and also Chicken Kurma are the best I have tasted in Stevenage, the same with the lemon rice and mushroom rice .Would highly recommended to anyone in Stevenage and surrounding areas wanting a excellent Indian meal ,5 Stars

We got here pretty late and found that most restaurants had closed for the night so were pretty lucky they served us. We were welcomed in regardless of the time and were given plenty of time to choose our meal. We went straight for mains, lamb bhuna, tarka dhal, chicken tikka jalfrezi, plain naan, pilau rice and lemon rice. The food was delicious and had some rich flavour to it, the lamb bhuna was exceptional, flavoursome and good portion sizes too. It 's a carbon copy of any high street 'curry house ' in the UK. Doesn 't bear any resemblance to actual Indian food of course and is too focused on huge portions of brightly coloured food. Everything is average in every way. Shame really as it would be great to have a more authentic Indian style (I know that 's a rather broad remit! option in Stevenage. The success of the nice Thai place shows there 's a appetite (pardon the pun for decent restaurants so perhaps think about being different to the handful of other curry houses in the town and do something a bit special.

Two mouthfuls into our dish and we find hair in our food. After ringing straight away they tell us that they want the food back and then we will get a refund. We all was instantly disgusted by the hair anyway so we agreed that the delivery driver would come back and swap us back our money which didn 't make sense and we generally feel like they had planned to Re-sell it to other customers. After waiting over 24 hours of constant ringing them being hung up on, screamed at by the manager, had insults thrown at our race we still have not received our money back and still have there disgusting, vile, foul grissely food bagged up stinkin my kitchen out. Have been coming here for a few years, curry has always been lovely, never had many people n there but it’s gone rapidly downhill. we went in October with 6 friends, they got some meals wrong we waited ages for our drinks just generally bad service. Went again last month three of us only two other people in there waited 40 minutes for our mains our drinks we had to ask twice for my snide dish came out but not my mains then when it did arrive tandoori mixed grill it was burnt and my side dish was now cold.
