"Used as my local for a while as was the best out of a bad bunch average food, slow service fishy and rude, terrible decor and dated awful music that’s just Chinese wind chimes playing over and over and over becomes rather irritating after a while, WONT be going back ever again. Service was shocking and added £12 on bill for service charge which wasn’t worthy at all and I will always pay if service is good, three adults one baby had just starters 4 starters half duck 4 alcoholic drinks £112 This is the best part they charged us £4 for soy sauce and some sweet chilli sauce to go with out salt and pepper squid how can you charge for a sauce that’s meant to come with a dish, like charging to use cute dog or salt and pepper never heard anything like it, food average at best but round this way there’s no food options!!! Pricey rude and cheeky, will stick to Peking palace in Sawbridheworth which is unreal and worth the 50 min round trip from Buntingford AVOID this restaurant if I was you!!!!"

There 's an old saying Fast and cheap, not good. Good and cheap, not fast. Fast and good, not cheap. I 've never met a place that breaks that saying, until we tried Rasa Sayang. At first we were a little suspicious, they make the food so quickly and cheaply can it really be good? Yes, the food is amazing. Every single time. The staff are lovely, though we 've never sat in only had takeaway. If you need good, cheap food and fast. Rasa Sayang is the place in Royston. I 'm amazed they aren 't more well known outside of Royston!

Update Sept-23. Saturday night, prebooked dinner. Excellent service and very busy. Seems to be the place to eat! Food delicious as ever. Brilliant food and service. Don't know about atmosphere as have only used for Friday lunchtime takeaways. Telephone order from car on return from London and hot food waiting at the counter within a few mins of arrival. There is free on street parking nearby but not on the same street. Lovely people, lovely food and good value. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free on demand. If dish cannot be made GF, they will tell you and offer an alternative
