Restaurant Du Montenvers

Tasteful, generous, in brief a treat for taste buds. In total cohesion with the surrounding frame. For our part we were conquered from the entrance where we found some old flavours to the dessert taken by the homemade gourmet.

very good reception, quick service and dishes are very good, we have feasted with a fermière poultry at the brooch for 22 euros .the dish was very copied. the only regret is that there was no terrace service that day, even for a coffee ...

We ate on the terrace, it was full. The chaos reigned in the restaurant. They snuck from our second dish. And even though they apologized for the burger was very little made, so little made they served it cold. Anyway, they got a lot of things left to get better. Speisekarte ansehen

The placement is fast, the staff is at the small care, the frame is super and in addition we have some parasols because eating in the sun is not very pleasant. the dishes are very good and without chichis, the plates are filled as necessary, there are for all tastes (save plates, meat, fish)

We came here after a long walk up from Chamonix, the views alone are rewarding and the excellent service and food make a trip up here even more worth while. You can get the train up if you don't fancy walking, we got the train...down as we ate and drank a little too much! I would highly recommend a visit

Take the train du Montenvers Mer de Clace, this transfer is already an eperience itself. When arrived at the end station, a great view over the Mer du Glace and the valley is breathtaking. The stylsh Mountain hotelrestaurant is a great place for a cheese...fondue and or Raclette. Dinner is difficult, because no train is going down any more. Speisekarte ansehen

Our daughter had had her wedding reception in the Hotel eleven years ago. My wife and I decided to go for lunch. After a ride in the mountain railway we got to Montenvers above the now receding glacier. The hotel is rustic and the restaurant...reflects this style. The menu contains many Savoyard dishes. I had a fondue while my had a trout and then helped herself to my fondue. We had an excellent bottle of local wine. Everybody around us seemed to be enjoying themselves.

pleasant reception but service a little longer. A vague impression of being forgotten for the service: obliging to ask again if things are expensive .plats: the big shells on the map are disappointing: one might think of a big salad of ham pasta with a price of 28 euros (no interest)The roasted poultry with juice: a half chicken for 1 person it is a bit just with obliging to ask for juice. The pdts accompanying the poultry were too good. children's meals : 3 choices offered for 11,50 euros . ( very good point ) our daughter loved a lot. quality not always at the height of the price grandiose landscape in terrace a lunch that will soon be forgotten

I used to love this place. Hadn't been there for a few years, so was really looking forward to it. Big disappointment. It used to be very special, it has turned into an overpriced average restaurant. The chicken was dry and overcooked. The other dishes...tasted like canteen food. The tartare was (very) good though. The café gourmand used to be fabulous. It is now a euros (because they charge the cafe on top of the café gourmand!! assortment with a watery non-espresso espresso and bits of dried cakes around it. Pathetic. Obviously, the view is still breathtaking and the service was efficient and friendly. But overall, it was an overpriced disappointing experience. Keep walking! Speisekarte ansehen
