the takeaway menu is superb value for money. After driving 240 miles to open up our caravan we were very hungry but the portion sizes soon filled us up. absolutely delicious. thank you and see you again.

The food was ok, just. Waitress staff were obviously busy but to be honest the food was cold, which is not great seeing as we had prawns mussels and lobster. We also had sea bream which was the highlight, acceptably hot, fresh and tasty. I am sure we just picked a bad night, I know the owner was away but we expected better. After our first visit today, I can't recommend the Rib Oyster restaurant enough. Gavin his staff were welcoming, he took his time to chat with us about the food and locally sorced fresh produce. The food was stunning and everything was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be making a return visit as well as placing a meat fish order to cook at home from the great selection on offer. Top notch food and service The fish and chips are great, had them to take away and was impressed so went and had eat in a few days later. Eat in is a scaled up version (big portion) with home made mushy peas and tartare sauce. The chips on both events where of a different type and not home made however tasty and plentiful nevertheless. If you’re a mussel fan, order them for starters and there’s enough to share. What did it for me though was the super efficient and professional service by the front of house team. Outstanding!!! What an exceptional place. Must confess we did go a little bit enthuiastic with the dishes! Surroundings were clean,quiet and cosy. Not at all pretentious. You dont need all the frills and retro spills etc when the food is this good! Started with scallops, arrancini and the wonderfull black pudding Scotch egg. To share between the two of us I hasten to add!Heaven!! All cooked to perfection and nicely seasoned. For mains we happened to as if they had a tomahawk.
