Saffron - Speisekarte

Took two new guests here on Saturday. It did not fail to disappoint. I had a veggie jalfrezi and they had a selection of different items. All was great and the service was spot on as always. Manager is always a pleasure. Thanks again Saffron.

Our group had a reservation at this restaurant and none of us enjoyed the meal. The sauces were thick and had an artificial taste. The chicken and lamb were overcooked and dry. The naan breads were not fresh. The beer was served warm. I would not recommend this place.

We popped into the the Saffron this week and had a really lovely meal. Table service was warm and friendly and we were well looked after. We had the buffet selection that had a good selection. The course followed effortlessly and were quite tasty. Will pop in again soon. Speisekarte ansehen

Yesterday we decided to get takeout and chose chicken balmoral with a creamy mushroom sauce and chips. Despite it being an Indian restaurant, they also offer a fantastic European menu and a wide selection of Indian dishes. The food was first-class and ready for pick up 30 minutes later. Excellent experience.

We had an amazing Meal tonight for my wife’s birthday. Used this restaurant for a long time and it keeps getting better. Their food is amazing and service just as good. I have friends from down south that think they have the best Indian restaurants until they tried the Punjabi grill in Hawick. The restaurant is a credit to the town and I wish them all the best for the future. Cheers Ricky .

After living in the midlands and in Cornwall, I am very fussy about curries and the quality of the flavours. Once again, we had a fantastic takeaway from Saffron. I love the fact that as a vegetarian, I can choose from a variety paneer curries. I would really recommend the Paneer Rogan Josh. The rich tomato sauce goes fantastically with the creamy cheese. Almost didn’t go to Saffron following some of the reviews, but decided to give it a chance, having been there some years ago and having a great meal. 8 of us descended, and got a table straight away. The waiter was on his own and had a few tables to attend to, but we didn’t feel neglected. The food order was correct when it arrived, and the food was hot and tasty not too spicy. The surroundings were a little basic (looks a bit like a working men’s club) but they were clean. Overall I’ve had worse curries in nicer places,

I made a reservation at this restaurant last night for 5:30 PM. The staff was prompt in taking our order and bringing a pickle tray. However, after clearing the pickle tray, it took 30 minutes to receive our starters and another 30 minutes for our mains, which arrived without the naan breads. By the time the naan breads arrived, our mains were only lukewarm. Throughout our meal, we noticed numerous takeaway orders being collected, which made us feel like dine-in customers were treated as second class. The service definitely needs improvement.

We ordered home delivery and the person on the phone sounded very helpful, if a bit rushed. Our order took an hour to arrive, but we had been warned so, that was OK. Where this establishment lost my approval was with the actual meal: in essence the whole meal was horrible, the Tarka Dhal was highly spiced, the Onion rice was ordinary Pillau with some bits of chopped onion added, the Chicken Korma was over spiced and looked as though it had come out of a tin, there was some ‘raita’ that was an unpleasant pink and tasted sour. The Popadoms were OK, the Mushroom bhajis came with chopped lettuce and were like the scraps you get at the chippy, not balls of sliced and separated onion well deep fri... Speisekarte ansehen
