"This place comes recommended so I had to try it. I was tempted by the steak pie as well as fish and chips. The fish was brilliant and pie was absolutely gorgeous and the chips were good (but I am blessed with exceptional battered chips locally where I live so they were always going to be compared to). The curry sauce was really tasty and went down nice with the fish but my favourite was the chilli sauce which I had with the pie, really unique flavour you can tell they have made them all themselves nice work. The tartare sauce was good too. The wait for chips at dinner time is huge (up to an hour) so go before you get hungry they could do with more hands on deck at peak time. There's a couple of benches outside to seat a couple of families but we chose to eat ours on the beach and enjoy the sunset. You pay a premium for the proximity to the beach I guess so not bad value."

"My friend, who lives here locally I popped in here one wet dreary Sunday afternoon recently. It was dreary outside and not that much better inside. The guy behind the bar seemed rather bored but was civil enough and took our orders of a couple of beers. Another guy working there (the owner or manager? who my friend apparently knew came past us but made no real attempt to engage in any friendly banter. His lugging stuff around the pub seemed to be his priority. There were some vestiges of some sad looking Christmas decorations on one wobbly table. The guy behind the bar sighed that they had been put up at the insistence of the brewery. Anyway, we supped on our beers, and watched one of the TV screens showing World Cup rugby. We waited until half time and then tried to get back to my friends home to watch the second half in more happier surroundings."

"The restaurant has just opened and is still experiencing some teething problems, but that shouldn't deter you from visiting. We had a lovely evening on our first night in this beautiful village. The service will improve as the staff gets more comfortable. The food was enjoyable; everything came out as ordered, beautifully presented and hot—some dishes were even a bit too hot. When we return to the village, we will definitely dine here again. They have a limited selection of soft drinks, and they tend to serve alcohol in larger portions than necessary."

"You made our Christmas even more special! We’ve never dined out for Christmas before, and what can I say? The food was delicious (though the portions were huge), the service was exceptional (almost fit for royalty), and the atmosphere was lovely, thanks to the staff and everyone else involved. We had a wonderful Christmas day because of their dedication and hard work. We were able to say goodbye to the lady, but not to the gentleman with the two young children. Thank you all very much, and Merry Christmas!"

"We had dinner there last night. Probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. The food was excellent with all three courses hitting the spot and at an appropriate price. Service was good without being over attentive, and the ambience really enjoyable busy small restaurant vibe but not too loud to hear each other.
