"Isabella’s is the one place where our friends and visitors want to go when in town. The team has now won a Highly Commended at the Food Awards Wales 2023 and thoroughly deserved it is too! The quality of their food is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the homemade curried parsnip and potato soup. So many choices on the two course menu will satisfy everyone, the homemade fish cakes can be recommended too. All in all superb food and drink, delightful staff and a relaxed setting. By far our favourite place to eat in South Wales."

"We were fortunate to be seated as walk-ins and immediately felt welcomed in the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive, and the menu offered so many tempting options that it was hard to decide! The food was delicious, and there was an excellent selection of drinks, making for a very enjoyable experience for everyone."

"Go here regular but very disappointed today! The gentleman who took our food order was pushy about his real chips,,my husband had the large mix grill £24pds I think..he ordered real chips and peppercorn sauce with it..I ordered lamb well cooked..it come and it was blood turned my stomach so much couldn’t eat it..when too find someone as my husband had not had his real chips or his peppercorn sauce..she brought his chips but no sauce!! 10minutes later my food arrives back…burnt lamb in parts i was so disappointed only eat two potatoes and mushrooms..my husband never had his peppercorn sauce the man who takes the orders needs too listen too the orders he’s taking and also come back and see if our food is correct?not have me run around looking for a member of staff…our meals come too £47pounds very disappointed and will not be returning for a while until the man at front of house uses his head a bit and not rush people In too make money!"

"Upon our arrival, the staff warmly greeted us and promptly escorted us to our seats. They were friendly and attentive—thank you! We were presented with menus and given just the right amount of time to peruse our options before a cheerful server came to take our orders. I chose the crab for my starter and the lamb for my main course, and I can confidently say it was an incredible experience. The starters arrived, featuring a golden, crispy coating enveloping soft, delicate crab meat. It was the perfect portion for a starter, enough to whet your appetite as you anticipate the main course. For my main, I opted for the lamb, which was juicy and succulent with a delightful bite that I adore! It was tender without being chewy, providing just the right texture to remind you you’re eating meat. The lamb was accompanied by a large, homemade Yorkshire pudding that was both crispy and fluffy, alongside golden roast potatoes and flavorful roasted carrots and parsnips. The gravy was something unique—very pale and almost hard to see on the food, yet packed with richness and depth. I typically prefer a dark, thick gravy, but this one exceeded my expectations. You could genuinely sense the love and care that went into preparing the meal. Overall, I’d give five stars across the board—just make sure to reserve your table in advance! Bravo!"

"Went here for our first time yesterday for Sunday Lunch. The roast dinner was outstanding. The hospitality from Stacey was truly warming and welcoming. We definitely plan on going here again and again! Well worth the 30 minutes drive. Look forward to trying more of the menu the specials board looked amazing too. Well done to Stacey and her team .
