Sebastiano - Speisekarte

This was a perfect find for a Saturday night dinner, close enough to walk to from our Airbnb. From the street they did not look busy, but that was because dining was in the courtyard. Food was scrumptious- especially the calamari.

Would definitely recommend Sebastiano's. We hadn't made a reservation but they managed to accommodate us. Warm welcome from friendly and attentive waiters. Delicious bruschetta to begin with followed by risotto and pappardelle. We were going on to a concert so no time for the delicious desserts others have mentioned. Next time!

Ich würde Sebastiano's auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Wir hatten keine Reservierung vorgenommen, aber sie haben es geschafft, uns unterzubringen. Herzlicher Empfang durch freundliche und aufmerksame Kellner. Zunächst köstliche Bruschetta, gefolgt von Risotto und Pappardelle. Wir waren auf dem Weg zu einem Konzert und hatten daher keine Zeit für die köstlichen Desserts, die andere erwähnt haben. Nächstes Mal!

if you're looking for a sweet and cosy place to have beautiful italian food - and if that was not already plenty - in a lovely courtyard if the weather permits, then you're right at sebastiano's. delicious pappardelle con gallinaccio (wide egg noodles with chanterelles) in a gorgeous creamy sauce make me want to come back for more, time and again. in cooler times, the interior is nice and cosy too, but in summer the culinary experience is topped by a special treat for the eyes: the courtyard is so lovingly decorated that it is hard not to feel at home.

Sebastiano's is an old-line family restaurant in Vienna, away from the tourist center, with an interior courtyard/terrace for outdoor dining that is actually a part of the apartment buildings around it. We felt like we had stepped back into a small Italian village for dinner. I had the most wonderful beef tartare with olive oil, basil, a shaved parmesan, followed by pasta with a creamy pesto sauce, topped with a couple of thin slices of proscuitto, and my wife had pan fried fish in a butter sauce. A nice Italian red wine to accompany. We had such a good time, we came back a second night and had altogether different dishes, equally delightful. This is a very welcoming warm and friendly restaurant. The menu was presented on a large slate - in Italian but the waiter was happy to translate into German. It is a small menu because all the food is fresh and mostly home made even the wonderful Pesto. My partner had a generous portion of Calamari which he found perfect - I opted for a pasta with pesto and Prosciutto Crudo - there was a little too much saltiness in the sauce which may have had a touch of MSG and that spoilt it for me - the chef's creaitons here appear very good and do not need excessive salt or MSG. There is a good selection of wine and staff are keen to ensure you are happy: I found the Wiener Gemischter Satz a touch too...

We actually walked by on a Monday night and it was closed, so we made plans to go back (without reservations).We were quite lucky as they were able to seat us immediately. We tried the spaghetti with pesto sauce, the steak papadelle and the grilled squid. Of course, we tried the sample dessert and decided to add an order of tiramisu (because it was so-o-o good)All in all, the food was impressive, we especially liked the grilled squid. The spaghetti (with pesto sauce) was tasty but the pasta is too soft.The dessert sampler gave us a chance to try different things on the menu and we decided to order an extra portion of tiramisu.Oh, what can I say...... we have had tiramisu in numerous other re...
