The food was really delicious and definitely worth the trip. The children's roast was excellent and a good size. The children's sausage and mash portion was a bit small, more suitable for a toddler, but overall excellent.

Refurb not quite finished, needs a lot more decorative touches! Staff very friendly and helpful. Food arrived warm, not hot, not very well presented and definitely over priced in comparison to other local restaurants. Won't be returning!!

Really great place, found the staff welcoming, restaurant size of 5 tables in the dining area was intimate, view out the window was a tree lined cobble track lovely. Great selection of pub style food to choose from at a good price. Will definitely be back again. Speisekarte ansehen

We picked a bad day before a three day shut down so they had run out of cask beer by 5pm. They seem to have one girl waiting tables who was run off her feet so the service was slow between courses. However the food was good and we would go again when its not bank holiday.

I went to this restaurant on Father's Day with my daughter, who doesn't eat beef or pork, and we found nothing on the menu that she could eat. The staff were unhelpful and rude. I suspect that the food is microwaved because they wouldn't accommodate any changes to the dishes. I won't be returning to this restaurant.

Excellent service by people who knew what they were doing excellent beer. good cheese and onion pie and steak and ale pudding but too many chips and they were too hard. Would suggest some nibbles as well as starters we waited thirty minutes for our meal. Appreciate the new decor. Strange their was no lamb or mutton on the menu. Speisekarte ansehen

We tried a variety of sandwiches from the lunch menu, all of which were delicious. The soup of the day was also very tasty. The only downside was the new seating and decoration, which transformed the cozy pub atmosphere we loved into a cold and lackluster space that felt like a strange blend of a restaurant and a pub, without capturing the charm it once had.

A cosy if slightly eclectic pub. Had a lovely wood burning fireplace that filled the room with a wonderfull smell. We opted for meals of less traditional pub fare...the Black pudding starter was beautifully presented and was lovely to eat but most flovours were sublte with no real leaning one way or the other. Pork Loin beautifully cooked and presented..really nice plate of food. Can definitely recommend the sausage and mash too tasty sausages. So great food, reasonable service and a nice atmosphere for lunch but a little at the top end of the budget for us..

Booking was simple via the Open Table website and staff were happy to oblige and sit us at our table early when we turned up over 45 minutes ahead of time. One friend and I had roast leg of lamb on a bed of seasonal veg with proper roasties, sweet potato mash, and a giant yorkie plus a little extra gravy which was no trouble for chef to provide! My other friend had the cheese and onion pie with cheese sauce and looked really happy with her choice too. Dessert was a mixed affair I had the Chocolate Fondant which came with ice cream and a jug of chocolate sauce, all totally yummy and runny in the middle as it should be!
