Fantastic family run chippy. Great value for money.will definatley be calling again on our trips through Welshpool.

omg !!!went in at lunchtime food horrendous place dirty , sticky tables fish unedible chips cold, staff that just dont want to be there, waste of money.

Every time we visit Welshpool, we make sure to stop by this restaurant. The chips are delicious and reasonably priced. You can dine in or get takeout, and there are plenty of options on the menu to choose from. Speisekarte ansehen

We ordered a double portion of large cod and chips, along with two servings of curry sauce and two servings of mushy peas, all for less than £13. The portion sizes were generous, however the batter on the fish was a bit soggy. The curry sauce was tasty, but the mushy peas were nothing special. The service was quick and the staff were polite.

Horrible I ordered chicken strips and I was given a disgusting looking parcel, the nice crispy chicken was covered with mix of sauces. Whole evening was ruined. Not very clear when they take your order and the kids chips was smelling maybe fried on the same oil as other food. If you have allergic with sea food I advise not to visit as they have one oil for everything.

Value for money this place can not be beaten. Family owned for decades and not a lot has changed. Very honest food, sometimes it can be a little greasy depending on what time you go possibly not helped by the volume of food going through the fryers. Jumbo Saussge can't be beaten, large portion of chips would feed 5, kebabs are fantastic and the chicken strips would smash any KFC out the park. Best place in town for a good belly full of food!! From 11am to 5pm the staff are friendly, After that youll be served by a teenage girl who looks she hates life and has a sh*tty attitude. I noticed she tried to give me a few quid less that what I should have, when I brought it up she reluctantly went to the till and got what remained and literally threw it on the counter and went about serving me. The food ranges sometimes from okay to amazing. Depends on who's cooking at the time. I find the best time to go is around 3pm to 4pm.

Excellent service. Freshly cooked while I waited. I ordered fish and chips but there was a varied menu. Social distancing is in place you entered through one door leaving through another. Didn't have to wait long only one customer in front of me. Given choice of salt and vinegar. Sauce was available if required. Soft drinks available. Staff wore masks and gloves. Will definitely be visiting silver fish again. Popped in on Monday evening. Think they are not open all day as they previously had been prior to the virus. Check with silver fish before you visit. We had high hopes for our fish and chips lunch after traveling 80 miles to stay nearby for a few days. However, we were extremely disappointed with this restaurant. The staff was unfriendly and unwelcoming, and the tables were sticky as if they hadn't been cleaned in ages. Before ordering, I had to visit the restroom, which was just acceptable but in need of updating. The cod and chips we ordered were overly greasy, with too much batter on the fish and chips that tasted like they had been re-cooked. The total cost for our meal, including a cup of tea each, came to £18. The tea tasted like dishwater, as the server simply threw the tea bags in a pot, swished some hot water around for a few sec...
