As a vegetarian I feel breakfast is overpriced . One mushroom, half of a lukewarm tomato, hash brown, potato scone , beans, and a fried egg turning hard and toast priced at £10..99 not good value compared with the freshly cooked veg breakfast brought to your table with hot toast at Storehouse of Foulis served at a lower price.

Three for lunch, one soup two sandwiches, one soft drink £34!! £10 for an egg sandwich!!! It was very tasty but way over priced. Only hot offering was roast turkey, don’t believe the flashing board for breakfast, only to be told it finished say 11.30, why not switch the screen off? Staff neither polite nor impolite but all sullen and hardly over content

Great place for a visit, food very good and tasty, though I wish they would go back to allowing people to help themselves to the veg with their meal instead of telling tge server to put on a certain amount of carrots or peas on my plate. What HAVE they done to the newly tiled toilets its like a victorian prison, with cream tiles everywhere and only one small mirror above one hand drier! Speisekarte ansehen

The ordering and paying process at this restaurant is very disorganized. It would be much better if payment was taken at the end of the serving counters. It is inconvenient to have to carry trays across the busy serving point and the food can get cold by the time you pay. The food is okay but very overpriced. I would only visit again if the serving and paying process was more streamlined.

The pot of tea for two was enjoyable, as it was able to fill two cups for each person and came with two small jugs of milk. The bales were fresh. However, we have noticed a decrease in quality and quantity of the hot meals over the years. The food is not as hot as it used to be when we could serve ourselves, now it is pre-set and not hot enough after waiting to pay. Perhaps a pre-paid system for hot meals would be beneficial. The staff are always great.

We went to see Santa at the garden centre. I paid £15 for each of my grandchildren and I felt it was a huge disappointment. Years ago there were real reindeer and a drink and mince pie at the end. They also had a fantastic display set up with talking reindeer etc. This year nothing except walking through a reasonable display and then santa and a little gift. The snow globe thing at the beginning was broken and nothing to compensate for that. We have always made Simpsons our choice for lunch for years but have noticed a recent decline in thecquality and a steep increase in prices. A very small bowl of pea soup (two half ladles) is £5.69 and the cheese scone which used to be included is now extra. Today we had a connamon and applecslicecwhich was so dry it was inedible and there was no flavour, just like a slice if dry shortbread with sugar on it. The strawberry tart was not nice, very hard tasteless strawberries and the pastry base was hard and crumbly, more like biscuit than pastry. Very disappointed that this has happened and I think we will now seek out alternatives with better value for money and better quality food.

This restaurant, which was once popular, has clearly seen better days. We paid £35 for breakfast for three people, including one who only had a bacon roll and a pot of tea. Despite it being a Saturday morning and the restaurant being less than 1/4 full with plenty of staff, it took a long time to get our food. The staff were slow and disorganized, and no one employee followed our order through to completion. The quality of the food was very poor and it arrived at our table completely cold. The made-to-order pancakes seemed like they were reheated or came from a packet, and they arrived plain without Nutella or syrup, which we had to request. No better now than a greasy spoon charging restaurant prices. I have always had lunch at simpsons whenever I have been in maidenhead aquatics but in the last year it has gone completely off the rails. Poor quality food at astronomical price. I wouldn't mind paying high price if the quality was reflected but unfortunately, my last visit will also be my last visit. Steak pie came with carrots that weren't peeled still had brown dirty lines in them rock hard peas, and the steak pie had very little steak and was mostly mushrooms.
