"My group of seven dined at the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon and we were impressed from the start. The tables were beautifully set with crisp white tablecloths and napkins, and we were served delicious olives and butter for our bread. The attentive staff made sure our olives, bread, and butter were constantly replenished. One waiter even entertained us with playful tricks, adding to the enjoyable atmosphere. Our starters of cannelloni and goat cheese on roasted vegetables were outstanding. Although there was a bit of a wait for our main courses, we didn't mind as the restaurant was busy and time passed quickly. I opted for the liver with onions, which was cooked in a flavorful gravy and tender. My partner's chicken with grilled eggplant was also given high praise. We were thoroughly pleased with our dining experience and look forward to returning soon."

we booked a table without problems. eating is nice, and the personal has even allowed us to make some changes to the preordered food. we were here before, and you got olives on the table we missed (possibly kovid cuts)? You really can't blame.

We were feeling hungry and caught in the rain when we stumbled upon this restaurant, which was the nearest place to eat. The recommended special was gnocchi with shrimp, lemon, and orange. It was decent, but not quite as tasty as the waiter had made it out to be. My husband's lasagna was slightly overcooked. The only saving grace was that the espresso was actually good.

Just come back from a lovely dinner at Sorrento's to celebrate our anniversary. As always, friendly welcome and great service throughout. Relaxed atmosphere. Avocado and prawn starter very nice. Wife had lamb shank I had fillet steak with mushrooms for main course both excellent well cooked. Highly recommend Sorrento (as long as you don't take the last table when we want to book !! .

This restaurant has a warm welcoming atmosphere. The staff is very courteous and the food is delicious. They use fresh ingredients and with every mouthful reminds me of a holiday. I can almost hear the waves, fresh air blowing in the distance. I had the Pasta de Mama. Although I did not have a started I received a complementary bread and butter and olives. I have a love for parmesean cheese on my pasta, although it's not their custom with prawns, they brought me some anyway. I would definitely recommend a visit.

During a visit to Surbiton for a funeral, we stumbled upon an Italian restaurant on Ewell Road in Tolworth. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the host and promptly seated. A selection of olives was brought to our table immediately. We were presented with both a specials board and an extensive menu to choose from. The starters and main courses we ordered were cooked perfectly and served in generous portions. The food was delicious and the house wines, both red and white, tasted exceptional. We highly recommend this hidden gem to others.

Food, as always at Sorrento, was very good but unfortunately the service was very slow again. Arrived, got menus and made our choice in 5 minutes, closed menus and had them on the table. 20 minutes later our order was taken. 25 minutes after that our (cold) starters arrived. The main course was then served 30 minutes later i.e., it was over an hour and a quarter from arriving that we got our main courses. Unfortunately, it was a similar story the last time we were there a few weeks ago. Real shame as we like the restaurant and staff, but need to think again next time.

It is rare to be served food that is not tampered with these days as a Nutritionist, a refreshing experience to have no trace of ultra processed ingredients here; from starter to dessert! Sorrento manages to serve food, cooked skilfully, from its most natural state. The personal care and attention in service makes you feel like you are dining at a member of your loving family's table. Nicest surprise at the end is the reasonable price you pay! Keeping profit margins amazingly fair, they manage to have a full house at these financially challenging times. There is no greedflation here! Never disappointed in this restaurant, that's why we return for special occasions and more. Best choice every...

"Obon: a petit Japanese udon restaurant that supplies a sense of Japan that cannot be found anywhere else in the whole of the Uk. (5 stars) Location: Obon is located close to the heart of Kingston but the road it’s on is considerably quieter. You must make sure to have a basic knowledge of Kingston in order to find an area to park and to also make sure you leave yourself enough time, taking the unpredictability of the traffic into acount. Even on a week day there can be traffic jams which can put a halt to your plans and due to the small amount of customers Obon can take its important that you not only book but make sure that you arrive at the agreed booking time. With this being said the staff are all lovely so if you are running late, a quick call is all that is required to just give Obon a chance to understand your position. The food: The array of exquisitely prepared sashimi will be sure to create the sensation that you are in a top Japanese restaurant in japan and the flavour of the fish does not fail to match expectations, which will be very high after just one glance at your meal. The fish is delicately seasoned and practically melts on your tongue, this causes a lovely sensation and is genuinely the finest sushi I have tasted in the uk and even matches a lot of the top restaurants in japan. On top of just the traditional types of sushi, which to many is maki rolls Obon also offers many other delicious options such as soft shell crab and even Unagi don, which I must highly recommend due to it consistently being the highlight of my meal. For those of you that were interested in the quality of the basic Japanese dishes such as miso soup or edamame they do not fail to leave you in grand anticipation for what is to come for they are, simply speaking, incredibly good. The miso, in my opinion, is truly remarkable and creates a lasting feeling of warmth throughout your entire body, on top of that it is far superior to other miso’s that I have tasted in all other areas of the world. Overall the quality of the food is something you would expect from a world famous Michelin star restaurant and if you want Japanese food it’s the only place I can recommend. The Restaurant: The restaurant itself is small but authentic in nature and because it only has a enough tables to host around 20 people at the most, the service is exceptionally good and your food is always out quickly so you will not be left hungry for very long. The staff are kind and friendly. And it’s always an enjoyable experience being waves goodbye as you leave the restaurant. You’re also able to watch as they prepare the food, which for some could be entertaining. There are Japanese photos scattered around the room and this further creates an authentic feel. The atmosphere is not lively but it is a restaurant and not a bar so is an ideal location if you are wanting high quality food. With this being said it is still a great place to go with friends and I consistently am able to have a great time no matter the occasion. Price: Obviously, the price of the food is always an important topic to come to and despite the cost of the sushi being slightly higher than you may expect from a small restaurant in Kingston, I would have to say that for the quality of the food it is ultimately a bargain. For three people, you would be spending around £100 so it isn’t cheap but you can go for cheaper types of food such as udon, which is still amazing quality and won’t set you back as much money. Overall: Obon is still my favourite restaurant in the whole of the Uk and is perfect for a special occasion but it isn’t the sort of place you’d go for a casual night out. The food is beyond incredible and thus they can cater for both children and adults by meeting every bodies needs. For anybody that enjoys sushi, I would urge you to give it a go, you won’t regret it"
