"Sunday dinner is not always the most popular time to eat in a restaurant as many restaurants have an extended lunch service so we were grateful to be able to book here. The restaurant opens for dinner at 8.00pm. We did not realise how busy the hotel would be. The restaurant itself is not exceptionally well appointed and most typical of a hotel restaurant. There were a few tables on a terrace but the rest of us were seated in an enclosed area. Not really pleasant. Service was not staggered so all the hotel guests piled in at close to 8.00pm. The hotel website describes several restaurants within the hotel but this was not our experience. Diniing was not a particularly intimate event, more like a resort hotel dining area. The wait staff were rushed and did not have the linguistic skills expected at a four star hotel. The food was good, the wild boar especially good, but expensive. I expect the hotel guests on half board thought it better value. This is reputed to be a 'destination ' hotel but this wasn 't a specially memorable experience. No way a 'Bib Gourmand ' in the Michelin guide was justified."

Reserved this restaurant 2 months prior to trip and it DID NOT disappoint. Prior to going we were told by the hotel that it was one of the best places to eat, it was the best lunch we had on the island. The scenery alone could have made the lunch, but the homemade food exceeded expectations. The gnochetti with wild boar sauce was beyond flavorful as well as ravioli with fresh cheese (FRESH! Cheese was amazing). We also had a mixed grilled meat which was very tender and tasty (pork beef sausage). Restaurant staff was pleasant and accommodating. Will return
