"Yesterday I popped into Teacups on my own having been in the village to do some shopping. There is always someone to say hello to or chat with though. I was greeted by two lovely ladies with warm smiles cheery good mornings, hellos how are you’s? Every customer gets such a warm welcome at Teacups, it doesn’t matter if you’re a regular or a tourist on a day trip, the customer service is always amazing! I had a large cappuccino, sat on a window table watched the world go by, when the ladies were not busy they stop to chit chat a little. Teacups have a book basket that always has a vast collection of books so I had a look through that, if a book takes your fancy then there are a couple of charities they collect for so you can opt which you would like to donate to. I had a hot chocolate before I left which was delicious, so smooth, not sickly like a lot of hot chocolates just topped my morning off nicely! Today I chose to take a slice of Black Forest Cake with a hint of Brandy home for my afternoon treat it was fabulous, very tasty! I’ve had hot cold lunches, a variety of sweet savoury cakes, hot cold drinks I cannot fault anything, there is a good variety of everything, catering for all, seasonal local produce freshly made on site. There is seating indoors outdoors, as a solo visitor or a small group it welcomes all, including dogs as there is the seating outside. The two joint lady owners put so much love, time pride into Teacups, along with their wonderful team alongside them who are all so friendly, hard working simply fantastic! If you visit Woolpit you simply MUST visit Teacups tearooms in the centre of the village, you may want to book in advance to your trip, but I promise you won’t be disappointed!"

A wonderfully friendly tea room with a super selection of delicious home made cakes. We are always made to feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble for this wonderful village business.

Wonderful Tea Shop, the staff are very courteous and quick with the delivery of your order. Nice selection of cakes if you just want a quick top-up We don’t live locally but if we are in the area, we definitely head for the Tea Cup for Lunch

This is a wonderful tea room in the heart of Woolpit. I go there regularly to meet friends, or even on my own! The cheese scones with cream cheese and chilli jam are the best anywhere. Wonderful, friendly staff and the best cakes, scones, sausage rolls, they do light lunches too, quiche and paninis and stuff! Speisekarte ansehen

Wondered how Tea Cups would manage social distancing not easy with such an old building it was perfect! From the no touch sanitiser on the entrance table to the screens between the tables. The scones were just as yummy too. Just need to remember to book, as it is very popular, and has fewer tables at the moment.

A lovely old building in a very pretty village which gives the impression that little has changed in the past 50 years This is everything you might expect from a small village cafe. A lovely friendly welcome, even to a total stranger, and a lovely environment in which to take refreshments. The coffee I had was not the strongest, but the cheese scone was faultless. Definitely a place I would come to again when passing along the A14

Wanting to take a break during a journey along the A14, I drove into Woolpit to find somewhere for a coffee. This tiny cafe was perfect. It is very old school with decorated china tea cups and fancy cakes but also offers more substantial cooked food. The small size of the place adds to the atmosphere, as does the friendliness of the staff. I couldn’t have been made to feel any more welcome, despite the scruffy motorcycle gear I was wearing. I was even given a loyalty card by a waitress wearing a very fetching mid-20th century outfit with bright red shoes. Woolpit itself is a lovely village and this cafe makes it all the better. Well what can I say about this amazing Tearooms ! From the warm welcome from the friendly, polite staff other customers that vary from locals to the tourists, the amazing food whether you fancy a panini, or a hot drink with a slice of a delicious home made cake (a variety on offer I add) it has never disappointed and I’ve been here on a weekly basis since June 2022 ! The quality of the food, the atmosphere, the seating, the cleanliness of the tearoom it really has that wonderful home from home feel that makes a tearoom ! If you visit Woolpit you have to visit this little gem ! Believe me you will want to return again and again !

Booked here very last minute and had no idea on what to expect as we had originally booked somewhere else but they cancelled and we desperately wanted to still go for Afternoon Tea and this place was the nearest too us. We arrived and be seated straight away and brought over the biggest Teapot I think I’ve ever seen. The tea was perfect. Next to arrived was the food. Wow!! The lady (sorry I don’t know your name) explained what everything was. EVERYTHING WAS AMAZING!! So tasty, so fresh and wanting more. We couldn’t stay for as long as we had wanted due to other commitments but we will definitely be back. On paying the bill we also bought a sausage roll to takeaway. Just yum!! Thank you

"I love pubs! How many times do you hear that? I only properly discovered them 18 years ago because in France, although we have our cafes, they are nothing like pubs. I fairly quickly categorised them because when you think about it, they are all different. The best description for me for this one is a town pub full of character. I discovered it thanks to a friend and started going to hold a French Conservation group. I have only had drinks so far and believe me if you are after reasonable prices you have to go to the Gladstone. I have recently paid £2 in another place for a soda and lime. Here they charge you £0.30. And before you ask, no, it's not because it's served in a shot glass. When you enter the premises you will notice first the space. It has got room but you also can decide to sit in a smaller area. There is a fire place which is really nice especially at this time if the year. I went last Saturday to meet with a friend and we decided to have something to eat. If you want a night out but your are on restricted budget this is the place where to go. Ok the menu doesn't give you a massive choice as some do but in fact think about it, it won't take you too long to make your decision. The choice is good and the prices quite low. If you are vegetarian they certainly have thought about you. I am not but to be fair I've always wondered why the choices seem to be so restricted for those who are when eating out? I ended with the chilly beef and cheese. I like the fact you can choose to have it with rice or bread. The serving is good and I really enjoyed it. It was very tasty. The staffs work hard, are very pleasant and easy to interact with which is exactly what you want in a pub. It's a place with great atmosphere. And if you enjoy watching tv in a pub this is certainly the place where to go. It was a very reasonable and enjoyable night out. I'll be back!"
