"I was there for a late father's day meal with my husband, his parents and my father. Our parents are in their late eighties and earlier nineties. We were served by Alex and Courtney who were friendly and helpful. Alex was particularly patient with our parents. He explained some aspects of the menu and let them take their time to order. He was very kind to them. Thank you for a pleasant evening. We all enjoyed our meals too."

The Admiral Rodney pub and restaurant stands on the edge of a steep and beautiful valley in the suburb of Loxley in Sheffield.

Lovely Father’s Day meal. Liam made sure the gluten allergy in our party was very well catered for and knew exactly what he could and couldn’t eat. Liam offered to double check everything with the chef.

Returned with female group after 2 or 3 years and we were all disappointed with the standard of food served and apart from one young waitress the serving staff were sullen and unhelpful. A sad experience after our many years of enjoying the Admiral Rodney. What has happened? Speisekarte ansehen

We had a really nice evening. Food was good. Staff were helpful especially Alex who made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Well done Admiral Rodney team. One suggestion. Our 90+ year old dining companion doesn’t do QR code so Vintage Inns please offer your staff an alternative way to ask guests to review.

My recommend would be on friendliness. The staff are very considerate. The food is just about ok. One of our party had to wait because his meal had been burnt. It was good they didn’t serve the burnt portion but it did make for a disjointed experience. In fairness he was offered a free dessert in recompense. I guess accidents can happen but we didn’t leave thinking we must return in the near future,
