"I usually hesitate to leave negative reviews, but our experience at this restaurant was so utterly disappointing that I feel compelled to share. Despite having made a reservation, upon our arrival, we were met with a distinct lack of hospitality. No staff member greeted us or guided us to our table. Left to our own devices, we seated ourselves and hoped that the service would improve. Sadly, that was not the case. We patiently waited for 20 minutes, hoping for someone to attend to us, but it seemed as though we were invisible. Although several waiters glanced our way, not a single one made the effort to come over, hand us menus or take our order. It was as though we were in a pantomime of a restaurant experience, not the real thing. The lack of basic customer service was astonishing and downright frustrating. Eating out should be a delightful experience, but the blatant disregard for our presence turned what should have been a relaxing meal into an aggravating ordeal. Regrettably, based on this experience, I simply cannot recommend this restaurant. In a city where there are so many dining options available, it is unfortunate that a restaurant would choose to neglect the simple, yet essential aspect of customer service. For those seeking an enjoyable and respectful dining experience, I would advise looking elsewhere."

Great roast place for Easter weekend. We got lamb roast and added additional sides. Cauliflower cheese is great! Great view of the punting too!

Extremely friendly staff! Very fast service (despite it being busy) and great view of the river! Highly recommend this place. And if you're a rock-fan then I highly recommend you to have a look at the Pink Floyd Legacy and pictures all around the building!

Visited this place as I knew well of the Pink Floyd legacy. Most certainly not disappointed. I was greeted from the staff working there with a big smile! They were really attentive, came to us and recommended us a lovely local ale that tasted amazing! Good combination with a lovely home-made chicken pie! Highly recommend this place, most certainly I will be back to visit this amazing and beautiful place! Speisekarte ansehen

We had a brilliant meal here on a sunny Friday afternoon. The upstairs area was very airy and pleasant and the food was fantastic: all cooked freshly and very tasty indeed. The stars of the show though, were Ian and the team who were so brilliant with our children and us. It’s hard to imagine a friendlier, more professional team. Fantastic service and Ian’s wealth of experience in the industry was clear to see. The beer was great too. We’ll be back!

I read about Syd Barret visiting this pub as a school kid and how it has a legacy. I don't think a lot of people know about this. You can find Syd's portraits also a few of the band members- Gilmour and Waters , as they are from Cambridge) on the wall. The food was good, good selection of beers on tap. It's right next to a punting hire place. The outdoor balcony has a great view sometimes chaotic) of people punting. Went purely cos of the Floyd legacy.

We had a lovely experience for lunch at The Anchor. Ideally located on the River with lovely views and access points. Staff were super friendly and attentive from start to finish. We all had Sunday roast, I opted for the Vegan Wellington which did not disappoint. It was delicious and filling, the only thing i would have liked was a little more of the vegetables for the pricepoint to accompany. Gravy was superb and everything cooked to perfection. Finished off with a sticky toffee pudding for dessert which was also quite good. Speisekarte ansehen

Superior pub close to several colleges in Cambridge that doesn 't demonstrably advertise its identity as a Greene King establishment. The outside seating area is very picturesque, directly by the river and Cambridge Chauffeur Punts . Very nice seating there unless the sun is burning down (No umbrellas). Cask selection is limited (5 taps, incl. the perennial GK IPA and Abbott Ale), but I found a nice guest APA. Plenty busy all day during the summer. Friendly service and adequate seating inside, too. Moderate prices for Cambridge. Good option for both tourists and students.

The pub is located by the punts and is a popular destination for tourists, but it can be crowded and difficult to secure a table with a river view. Although the scenery is beautiful, the establishment itself is not well-maintained, particularly outside. The food is mediocre, exemplified by our experience of having fish and chips, where the chips seemed to have been reheated from frozen. The fish was satisfactory, but it is a dish that can easily be prepared to a high standard. The service was prompt, and the staff appeared to be amiable, but they seemed overworked. The interior of the pub is spacious and suitable for families, with tables of a decent size.

"added dropwise for a pizza on the afternoon without reservation, and we were warmly welcomed and set immediately. the smell of reifer tomatensauce and gooey mozzarella in the stone oven under fire baked was an salutation to the sinnen. the restaurant was filled with a pleasant humor of talking and laughing, the sound of the teigs chopped in the kitchen, and the familiar sound of tellers and cutlery picked up and put down again - all with weak Italian music plays in the background. the ambiente was a tasteful hauch of seafoam blue on the wooden wall panels and equipped with sturdy furniture with red chili oils, salt and peppers and various types of fresh crimp on each table. a table can have salvia, another basilikum, the next coriander. a charming, subtler node to the l 'arte d 'arrangiarsi the art of making something from nothing of pizza. the menu was easy and easy to navigate, nothing to slandered level and nothing too adventurous. we ordered a pesto pizza and we asked for extra tomato sauce to which our server would be happy insured. after many times we came to our table customers and sleeps! the pesto had a tasteful taste and was pleasant tangy, the tomato sauce was juicy and not quite watery, and the mozzarella was evenly distributed and reached every end of the teigs. the best part, however, was the thick, soft resistance of the crust - not even the least incineration, but just at the right time pulled out of that. a 1 x 1 ' ft perfectly presented pizza. the, with two fizzy drinks, for less than 20 £. will return for the same, but with the intention to add a little red wine."
