A really nice spot for Sunday lunch, very good value, generous portions and good food. Service was fantastic and staff very welcoming and friendly.

Had a meal here last night, it was absolutely delicious. Excellent service and very friendly staff. Book early to avoid disappointment. Excellent menu to choose from, just wanted to order everything. Well done chefs and the entire staff. Can't wait to go back.

We made a reservation for Sunday lunch with an elderly relative and a young child who has limited mobility. We were warmly welcomed upon arrival and seated at a table that was easily accessible, offering a nice view of the restaurant. I chose the turkey and ham, my uncle had roast beef, and my daughter enjoyed the chicken goujons. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. The service was efficient, attentive, and friendly. I would definitely come back when I am in the area.

My family of six were fortunate enough to visit the anglers rest again last Sunday and as usual it was an amazing experience. This is our first time out since August last year and it did not disappoint!! The staff were excellent and we felt completely safe as social distancing was brilliant!! The menu was great and everyone was more than pleased with their choices and the portion sizes. We had an amazing Sunday lunch with helpful staff for whom nothing was too much trouble!! Great service,food and value. Can't wait to return.

Today my husband and I had lunch at The Anglers Rest. We often go out on Saturdays and typically park at a hotel we've used before. However, this time we decided to try The Anglers Rest and we were not disappointed. The lunch was delicious and well-prepared. It had been a while since I had a meal that was served piping hot on hot plates, with steam rising from the meat, vegetables, and potatoes. The staff was friendly and the hygiene was top-notch. Overall, we were very impressed and would like to give compliments to all, especially Chef Declan. We will definitely be returning.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Anglers Rest twice in the past few weeks. A Friday evening a couple of weeks ago and again last Sunday night. The food in this place is to die for and the service and hospitality exceptional. The first visit was with my partner, her daughter and boyfriend. The steaks were unbelievable , cooked to perfection and lovely with champ and/or garlic cubes. Last Sunday night we were back and we both had Chicken Maryland and the irresistible garlic potatoes. I cannot recommend the Anglers highly enough and the amazing staff who will make your visit a warm welcoming experience, and the Guinness here is as good as anywhere in the area.

We decided to try this restaurant for Sunday dinner after reading positive reviews on Tripadvisor, and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the toilets were immaculate. The crispy mushroom starter was a standout. I ordered the roast beef main and found it to be flavorful with generous portions, although I would have preferred thicker slices of beef. My wife enjoyed the beef burger, while my 9-year-old son had a half portion of roast beef and my 7-year-old daughter had the chicken goujons, all of which were tasty. We were driving along towards Banbridge when we came upon the Anglers Rest. The building is very attractive and well maintained inside and outside. There is a large car park at the rear. We had not made a booking, and we’re delighted that the staff made us feel very welcome. We had an absolutely fantastic meal. We chose Maryland chicken, with champ, chips and a side salad. Arrived without booking for Sunday lunch. Very welcoming and pleasant staff. Also hard working. Lovely surroundings. Sunday lunch… I would have chosen smoked salmon starter on menu but not available. Battered mushrooms delicious as was wheaten bread. My husbands roast silverside was melt in your mouth delicious. I had a generous portion baked cod which was delicious . The supposedly sundried and white wine sauce… I’m not sure about… . The disappointment was the vegetables. Carrot and parsnip sticks which were bland and tasteless!
