Popped in for a few after the Tideswell loop walk. Great pint of Guinness and warm welcome . Nice and warm in the back bar so fantastico

Stopped off here for lunch. The food was excellent catering for a gluten free diet and one that was egg and dairy free. Lovely helpful staff who were very attentive. Very reasonably priced in lovely surroundings. Hope to go again!

What a lovely place! We have spent our New Years evening here, our meal was absolutely amazing, staff was very friendly and happy, Food was homemade and not too expensive. Atmosphere was lovely and I would highly recommend this pub. Speisekarte ansehen

As a coeliac, finding a GF lasagne is like heaven! However when it arrived, there was no pasta in it?! It was ragu in a dish with cheese on top. I was absolutely gutted after a long hike. On the other hand my partner really enjoyed his pie so I think generally the food is good. Just gutting for the GF people!

Perfect pints poured by the lovely Emily. She gave us a taste of Nectaron first and it was at least as satisfying as the walk we had just done from Bamford to Ladybower reservoir. Which we loved! Apparently, 4 horrible guests left just before us but everybody here looks well pleased with their food and beverages) So...

What a lovely, traditional and friendly pub! We had a lovely meal the menu isn't extensive but it does offer a good choice and everything was well cooked and presented. The staff were really friendly (even offering scissors so we didn't have to fight to try to open the ketchup sachets a nice touch! . Well worth a visit. Speisekarte ansehen

Popped into the Anglers Rest for lunch after walking Chee Dale, lovely pub situated alongside the river with plenty of seating outside. Unfortunately is was raining when we arrived but we were welcomed inside and kindly found a seat. We both had a well earned sandwich and pint, food was great and service was quick even though they were very busy.

Traditional very friendly pub. A great stop off along the monsil trail in miller's Dale. Great beer on tap. The best on our short weekend travels. Seems to be the place owners take their dogs for sunday lunch not the kids! ! If you don't like dogs Then this is not your place..... Imo. Lovely friendly vibe about this place. Good food. Give it a visit. For food or a beer or both,you won't be disappointed.

Came half way through a lovely walk in Chee Dale. The walk took slightly longer than I expected so I rang ahead saying we'd be a little late and the staff were very understanding. Turned up to the nice cosy hikers bar where our reserved table was, which welcomed dogs and boots (a good job as we had both! , and we all had lovely meals Two veggie lasagnas, one with chips and two with garlic bread, and one meat lasagna with garlic bread, and one steak and kidney pudding with mash lots of veg. All really good hearty pub grub! We were tempted by the puddings too, and had apple pie with custard, ginger sponge with custard, and honeycomb cheesecake with cream.
