"I enjoyed a delicious curry dinner at Curry Cottage At Lovers Leap last night! The food and service were excellent. They have a good selection of vegetarian options. There are a few parking spots outside the restaurant, and a carpark 50 yards down the road on the left. The atmosphere was great, and I highly recommend dishes like Butter Chicken, Pickle Tray, Curry Chicken, and Onion Bhaji. Vegetarians will find a large selection of dishes to choose from. There is plenty of parking available, including free street parking options. Overall, I give this restaurant a 5-star rating for food, service, and atmosphere."

"Quaint pub restaurant with good service and great food. I booked this for my partners Birthday on Friday. Good range of beers, wines and other drinks, Loved the home made food, great to see something other than burgers. I have recently been diagnosed with a dairy intolerance so the chickpea curry was absolutely delicious with rice and popadums. My partner had the steak and unicorn pie, the unicorn being an ale they sell …we laughed with the friendly manager as I’d thought it might be horse meat! The pie was proper home made not processed and the steak was melt in the mouth , absolute quality and fresh veg too . Nice atmosphere and a quirky range of Toby jugs , must be hundreds of them and just fun looking at them especially the old logos. Friendly service and all in all pleased with our choice. Will visit again."

"Dropped in for a bite to eat after a busy day exploring Chatsworth House. It was a Saturday around dinner time (with England playing in the rugby world cup semi final) so we were sceptical about getting a table. The lady who served us was excellent. She pushed a few tables together to accommodate our group of 9. The food took a little while to come out, but was very much worth the wait. The chicken tandoori kebab is incredible, but easily enough for 2! Great spot to visit if you are in Bakewell. Food drinks: Excellent pub grub. Rooms: 4 Service: 5 Location: 4"

"This coffee lounge looks very trendy, so is the type of place I'd normally avoid, as I've found the trendier/more modern places value style over substance. How wrong I was! We visited this morning for breakfast, and it was brilliant. Fabulous full english cooked to absolute perfection. Bacon tasty and the fat was cooked. Quality sausage. Egg yolk nice and runny. Beans mushrooms and grilled tomato perfect. To top it all, it was served on a hot plate. Best breakfast I've ever eaten in Bakewell. Price reasonable. My only disappointment was no filter coffee (not keen on proper/machine coffee). Special mention to the staff who were lovely, so polite and cheerful, particularly the young chap who served us, he was full of banter and very happy in his job love people like that."
