I had high expectations, but the breakfast was subpar and seemed too expensive. For the price, they should put in more effort.

Amazing quality brunch, varied menu and great service makes this a perfect choice. Quirky decor and heated outdoor seating too.

Went for brunch today, had the vegan full English, absolutely delicious. Friendly staff, fab decor. Have been a few times and will be going a few more

Very disappointed in the portion of soup experienced last Friday 10th November, 3 of us had it and was a very small amount with a half a baguette. Normally pleased with everything but sadly not this time. Bad value, it was a Birthday treat and I was embarrassed as this person hadn’t been before. We were all disappointed and it does put me off going again

We got there, unannounced, at about 2.30pm on a Saturday, to find it packed out. Fortunately, they found us a seat, but some people who arrived after us went away when they saw how busy it was. The tip, therefore, is to book at weekends and busy times in the week. The atmosphere and food/drink is excellent, but the waiting makes it a very Good rather than Excellent PLEASE, Barn Cafe get the owners to fill the HUGE potholes at the entrance to the Car Park!!

Festive afternoon tea birthday treat.Went with family a bit of a wait for our table although we had booked.Hot drinks arrived I had turkish apple tea.The food did arrive but took over an hour.So ordered more drinks.We had salmon and cream cheese tartlets,pigs in blankets and a brioche bun with feta and cranberry.The scones were good although my personal preference is strawberry jam or anything without all the seeds as in raspberry.The cakes were lovely christmas cake ,chocolate brownie and mince tart.Would recommend booking as gets busy.Only gave 4 stars because of the wait for the food.

I visited The Barn on Saturday 13th January 2024. Despite hearing positive reviews, I was disappointed with my experience. We waited a long time to be seated, even though there were staff standing around and empty tables available. Once we were finally seated, it took a while for someone to take our order. I ordered a cream tea and my daughter had a savory cream tea. However, when our teas arrived, we only received one scone each, despite the menu stating two scones. Our bill came to £15.90, and although I didn't say anything at the time, I later confirmed the menu description. My friend and I were excited to try out this new restaurant, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The service from the management and kitchen staff was terrible. Only two of the ladies there actually acknowledged us, while the rest treated us poorly and ignored our requests. Despite telling the server that my friend is allergic to avocado, she still brought us an avocado chicken wrap, which could have been dangerous. It seems like the kitchen staff either can't read or cook properly. The food was OK but the service was poor. My brother and I popped in for lunch having seen signs on the main road. I wish I had read the reviews first! We were sat in the outside teepee which was OK as it was heated. Our order for teas and food was taken. The teas arrived, we drank the teas, waited, and waited but no food came. I caught the eye of a server who went to check for us but no order had been given to the kitchen. A fresh order was taken and it wasn't long then before the food arrived.
