It has a welcoming, laid back vibe which puts you at ease while the food makes you want to keep coming back. The small plates/bar downstairs is a real welcome treat for lunch dates or something quick. The staff are real stars, super friendly and they know their stuff inside out. "we visited fontana this evening for a Friday night dinner to sample her new menu and were greeted by the long standmaitre’d, the beautiful elaine. we had the fish cake and the tiger garnel and spaghetti for appetizers that were really divine, followed by...chorizo crippled hake and scallops with black pudding, again just amazingly delicious. for many years regularly in fontana, it is always excellent, but tonight stood as one of those extraordinary we get there every few years. stop the big workers! best don patterson"

"Lovely spot overlooking Belfast Lough! Haven't tried the food yet (hence the 0 stars) but the menu looks great! Very friendly staff, great decor and a well sized mostly sheltered beer garden (with additional bar outside). If you're into rubber ducks, duck artwork and a cosy bar after a walk on the coast then The Dirty Duck Alehouse is perfect for you! Any bar with a fireplace inside is a winner for me, especially with such a tasty Guinness. Looking forward to trying the food sometime soon!"

"it was a long day, and I was uncertain what we would find open in this phase of the evening (to 2045 hours) but then we met this restaurant. I am a total fan of Indian cuisine, but this place enchants and delights me. the decor is exquisite. the staff was friendly and helpful. the food was delicious. I chose the murgh tikka chilli masala for my main course. I was ready for the hot Indian aromes, as there are three hotty kitchens on the menu. which pleased me, however, was the wonderful balance between taste and heat. it was classic Indian chili heat, but not overwhelming. if they want to eat hotter, they can negotiate with their waiter, but I was very happy with eating when it arrived. all about this restaurant shows excellent and I would find it hard to introduce a better Indian restaurant in northern Ireland. Even now, I think of speaking out to return. well done all."

"I have been here with friends and family several times recently and the food is so good. You can eat in or take away and there is outside space to eat in the fresh air, if you like. Children well catered for with kids menu and high chairs. A bit more pricey than the average chippy, but this is not the average chippy the menu includes fish curry, Tom yum broth, seafood chowder and other items from big brother The Dirty Duck.
