"We popped in to the Beehive for a breakfast snack and the cafe although having its main entrance in the street has a garden area at the rear. The garden area has 50s and 60s memorabilia as well as a small vinyl record store. We had some delicious toasted bacon sandwiches, with cups of tea and were treated to classic 50s and 60s background music. This is a traditional British cafe in historic Rochford with a Tudor house just across the street. Nice to visit when shopping in the Rochford/ Southend area. Southend airport bring only 5 minutes drive away."

Tasty home cooked, good value meals in cosy tearooms. The home made steak pie was full of meat and the staff were very friendly.

The waitress helped a small group of us quite nicely. The food is very good for a ordinary tea shop. Chips varied on different people's meals.

This restaurant offers a wonderful selection of traditional dishes that will transport you back in time. The food is delicious and we frequent this place often for breakfast. It is definitely worth a visit for either breakfast or lunch. Speisekarte ansehen

We actually went into town for a coffee in another cafe which doesn’t seem to open Mondays. So we gave this cafe a whirl. Very glad we did. My husband and friend were tempted by a bacon sandwich. Very enjoyable. Staff lovely and friendly. We will be back.

This is a long established cafe with loyal customers but as a reasonably new customer although the service is good there is a major problem as you come our smelling of smokey cooking smells due to a distinct lack of extract from the kitchen area If this could be improved it could be a very nice traditional cafe but until this has been rectified I will not return and can’t recommend it Speisekarte ansehen

We frequent this cafe often and have always received great service and delicious food. However, during our recent visit, we ordered two meals that included sausages but after waiting for 20 minutes, we were informed that they had run out of sausages. A staff member brought in a few sausages from the butchers, but we decided not to wait any longer. We paid for our drinks and left. The staff members on duty were unfamiliar to us and did not seem to be concerned about the situation.

I have visited this restaurant several times for breakfast and can honestly say that their full English breakfast is fabulous and great value for money. However, the main drawback for me is the poor ventilation, which was so bad that I had to go home, shower, and wash my hair afterwards. We tried sitting as far away from the kitchen area as possible, but unfortunately, the smell still clung to everything. I would be willing to pay a little more if they invested in a better extraction system.

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at SoPa Thai, and it was truly a delightful experience! The moment I walked in, the atmosphere transported me to a world of Thai sophistication and allure. The culinary exploration began with Tom Kha, a delightful combination of coconut milk, galangal, and lemongrass. Each spoonful was a delicious harmony of creamy and zesty flavors that perfectly complemented the tender chicken pieces. It wasn't just soup; it felt like a warm embrace in a bowl. Next, the beautifully presented Green Curry arrived. The curry was a work of art, filled with the richness of green chilies and fragrant basil leaves. The vegetables were fresh, and the chicken was incredibly tender, all bathed in a sauce that was the perfect blend of spicy and sweet. Then came the highlight of the evening, Pad Thai. The noodles were coated in a flavorful tamarind sauce, mixed with eggs, tofu, and a generous sprinkling of crushed peanuts. The dish was a delightful mix of textures and flavors that left my taste buds amazed. The grand finale was the Mango and Sticky Rice. The mango was ripe and sweet, a wonderful complement to the warm yet slightly salty sticky rice. Drizzled with coconut milk, this dessert was not just a treat but a festival of flavors. In summary, SoPa Thai is more than just a restaurant; it's a culinary paradise. Each dish showcased the chef's expertise in balancing flavors and textures. If you're in search of an authentic Thai dining experience, SoPa Thai is the place to go. Their Tom Kha, Green Curry, Pad Thai, and Mango Sticky Rice take you on a journey through the heart of Thailand. I highly recommend it!"
