People have been coming here for over 400 years. I can see why. Step back in time while enjoying home counties conversations. It's a locals local but if you like a bit of history with better than the average pub food then make the effort definitely worth it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My colleagues brought me to this restaurant for a business lunch, joking that it was older than the United States. They might have been onto something! Regardless, the house cider was really quite enjoyable. The menu was straightforward, but the dishes were cooked to perfection. I only wish I had enough time to sample the scotch and whisky flight. I have visited this restaurant several times in the past and have always had a fantastic experience. They used to offer a wonderful selection on the menu, and the food was always fresh and delicious. However, during my most recent visit a few days ago, I found the menu to be very limited with not much to choose from, which forced us to go elsewhere. I'm not sure what has changed, but I hope they return to their previous menu options. The three stars I gave for the food reflect the lack of variety, not the quality of the food itself. Rating: 3/5.
