Fantastic place to eat. Waiting staff friendly and prompt. Excellent options on tap, and staff able to make recommendations. A good range of vegan food and amazing for family dinners.

I had a really lovely time with my friends and family. The drinks were served quickly and the food was lovely. Isabella is beautiful, warm and caring. She looked after me really well. I would recommend to anyone in this area.

The friendly staff create a lovely a atmosphere. We come here all the time as a couple and with our kids. The service is always great and this is our favourite local pub. Would highly recommend this place for service and the food is fabulous.

Another wonderful lunch at the California,the food as always was great and as usual extremely nice and helpful staff. Such good value and will be back again soon. Thanks guys for another very enjoyable lunch and making 4 old girls feel so welcome,we do appreciate it!

Popped in yesterday afternoon with my brother, boy we was not disappointed. Clean, friendly and attentive staff, we felt so relaxed, had a meal which was perfect, good quality. A real mix of clientele, all ages, backgrounds, local people, local worker. A disco was provided in the evening, great atmosphere.

Pictures shown do not do the pub justice. We were in the quiet area, which was perfect for the company we were keeping. There are 3 main areas the bar and seats. LH side is a nice bright room with plenty of tables. RH side is spacious seating unlike weather spoons. There are a few TVs around Good size garden area The food and service was very good and very well priced. We were all pleasantly surprised on the food tbh

It was very quiet so quite easy to find a decent table. Service was great as you use an App from your table. Food was nice and served well. Staff were very friendly. Would definitely come again. There were a few items not available like the Sirloin and Rump steak along with Garlic bread. The staff member said there are new systems been introduced and they are ironing out the teething problems. Had a lovely evening though.

My names Chris, I visited this pub last night with a few friends for a few drinks. A few hours in the atmosphere was great and the Service was amazing so we ending up spending most the evening here. Will definitely come back amazing pub and management but all the staff were great. Thank you all. Highly recommended from me and my group. Can I say a special thank you to Izabela the GM who made our visit very warm and welcoming.

Walked to the California for Sunday lunch. Staff very courteous polite. Had Roast Sirloin of Beef with roasted parsnips, potatoes, Yorkshire pud, stuffing ball medley of veg. Dinner was served piping hot although gravy had been poured over roasted potatoes, which would've remained crisp, had the gravy been served separately. I personally love gravy however absolutely hate it poured over roasted spuds etc, as this immediately affects their crispness, making them soggy. Despite this, I enjoyed dinner dessert of Syrup Sponge pudding with custard. Next time we visit this venue, I will ask for my gravy to be served separately I'm sure they will oblige.
