I love going for a meal at a country pub. Great views across the fields from the Black Boy garden

Just totally outstanding, staff, food, ambience, building, just absolutely everything 5 stars.... lovely menu, diverse but tasty.

First time in this pub for roast dinner the food is amazing best ever I have had in alesbury the roast potatoes are amazing.staff are very friendly and I felt very welcome coming in on my own Speisekarte ansehen

Nice pub, Good food, good beer, nice people, fabulous views in garden. After two Years we have revisited this lovely pub, just as nice lovely dinner nice views, really good pint of beer. Very clean toilets.

Had drinks on a hot evening at this stunning pub. Slow service at the bar, no one came and asked if we wanted any more drinks whilst sitting in the garden. Pub and view 10/10. Staff experience disappointing.

Lovely old, atmospheric pub. Attentive staff but the food was a bit average. Too much chilli jam made my calzone too sweet, my wife's walnut tagliatelle was luke warm, a bit bland and had a hair in it. Would definitely go again but this was an off day for the kitchen. Speisekarte ansehen

Lunch with the family for my wife 's Big Birthday Food, drinks (particularly the Waddesdon Sauvignon Blanc) and service all excellent. A very warm welcome from Vicky and the whole team. One small bit of feedback, with such an excellent view here, the one window could do with a good clean! Overall a great experience: we will be back

My daughter and I had a delicious meal here, this evening. The serving staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. The pub is very nice inside and has a lovely beer garden. The food was delicious. The Whipped Feta sharing starter and the Padbury Pork Chop main were excellent. The chop was particularly nice. A very nice welcome, for us, to Buckinghamshire. Thank you

From the facade you would never guess, inside and the garden is lovely. This place is a gem. View from the garden is beautiful with nice seating. Staff was so friendly and welcoming. My dog was more than welcome and I even noticed a keg of dog water and bowls available. We didn't eat as it was a weekday and kitchen closed at 3pm just before we got there, so we had a couple beers and planned to be back to eat soon. Speisekarte ansehen
