"We have been looking for a good Chinese take away for as long as we can remember. The Mulan was recommended by our good friend Miles, so we ordered a take away last night (14/04/23). My wife and I both agreed that it was the best Chinese food we have ever tasted! The king prawn in ginger and onions was to die for, as was the chicken chow mien and sweet and sour chicken. It is collection only, which we didn't mind as it is near to where we live and the staff serving were lovely, polite and attentive. This is now going to be our go to Chinese takeaway and we will definitely be ordering again very soon! The food was hot and was full of vegetables (went to another one recently that was just different colours of beige), whereas the food at The Mulan was colourful and very fresh. Big thank you to all at The Mulan it was really lovely."

"Updated Following a conversation with Millers, I am confident this was a one off experience. They were genuinely upset that I had had this experience and the passion and care that came across in that call makes me believe that this is not the usual standard of service. Travelled from Leeds to taste this well known fish and chip shops. Ordered both cod and haddock with chips and a bread cake. Price on the higher side I feel. We Watched a promo video before attending, I must say it was completely different to my expectations and not for the good! The fish was fried to order and the amount of oil on the fish was very excessive. The chips were cooked perfect. The mushy peas brilliant however, the curry sauce was very sweet and the gravy was like cement. The bread cake was stale and rock hard, wrapped in clingfilm and very small. The manager at the time lacked professionalism and direction to his younger team."

"I dined here on the 17th of October of this year... and MY GOODNESS... if you like meat, this is the place for you. First of all, the atmosphere of this place is just perfect. The aesthetics of the place are very swanky and trendy and you could almost think you were on holiday somewhere. Lovely candlit tables by big open windows and nice mellow lighting. They played fantastic music in the background which added to this. Nice ambience and subtle melodic beats, no chart music here, and it's all the better for it. The food here is incredible. This is meat that has been cooked to perfection and with the utmost care. Juicy, tender, moist, delicious. These are just some of the words to describe it. Presented to you individually on giant skewers, you're literally offered something to eat every few minutes, and it is up to you if you want to eat it or not... but trust me you want to. And when you're full, you're full, simple as that. So don't load up too much on the salad bar beforehand. I also had an incredibly rich chocolate fudge cake with ice cream for dessert, and it was perfection. Surprised I had room for it in hindsight. My wife and I took advantage of the date night package, and so we got to sample all the meats and got a free mocktail with it too which was also absolutely delicious. Lastly, it has to be said that the lovely staff couldn't do more for us. They were all lovely and smiley and attentive and made sure we had a fantastic time. Now obviously a restaurant such as this isn't the cheapest place so keep that in mind, but you're absolutely paying for quality here! I barely took photos of the food as I was so in the moment; but trust me if you're in York and you like this kind food, you want to visit here. Parking: It's in a retail park. You can't go wrong. Wheelchair accessibility: It's all on the ground floor with big doors to get in. Plenty of space inside too. "we had booked a table for 7 people on Monday evening in this popular pub in the village wigginton. Unfortunately there were 9 of us, but the beautiful front of the house staff, mike gina, has our extra guests without fuss, despite the pub really busy. mike explained that there would be a slight delay in the food, as there was only one cook working on this evening. we appreciate his honesty, but the delay was very low and when the food arrived, it was hot, tasty and plentiful. mike, gina and matte, the cook, worked really hard all night and were pleasant, efficient and helpful."
