Lovely pub and good atmosphere. Very cosy and warm. The car park was not good as I'm in a wheelchair so very rough ground

This is a fab pub, out away but not too far from Malton. Dog friendly. The landlady is wonderful. The food is huge portions, good prices. There’s a lovely big beer garden out back too, check out the quirky photo chair.

Visited today for lunch and it was lovely. Very friendly staff. I am coeliac and require gluten free, there was a number of choices and I had fish and chips which were delicious. We sat inside but there was a lovely orangery and outside seating area. Will definitely return Speisekarte ansehen

We eat at The Smithy Arms quite regularly. The food is delicious, the pub atmosphere is great and the staff are polite, attentive and very welcoming. We always look forward to eating at this lovely pub. THANK YOU Lisa, Keith and their very hard working team for all you do, you’re all great at what you do!

I discovered this hidden gem on my way back from the coast. The restaurant welcomes both kids and dogs, and the staff is fantastic. The food is excellent with a wide variety of options at fair prices. They also have a lovely beer garden out back. Kudos to everyone involved in running this place. I can't wait to come back and try their Sunday lunch.

The service at this restaurant was disappointing. We had a reservation for 7:30 PM, but there was only one waitress and one staff member behind the bar. We ordered the Tuesday night special, 'Fish and Chips,' but had to wait 45 minutes for our meal. When we requested tartar sauce, we were told they had run out on fish special night. During our visit to Eden Camp, we decided to call on the off chance that they might have a table available for Sunday lunch. As we were only 10 minutes away, they kindly accommodated us. The meal was delicious - we each had 3 courses. The enormous Yorkshire pudding served with the roast was exceptional, and my grandson was especially fond of his sticky toffee dessert. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. We are making the 120 mile trip back to Eden Camp this weekend and are hoping to secure a booking for Sunday lunch again. It is definitely worth the journey.

We've just bought a caravan and left it in Robin Hood, which isn't far from Slingsby and Smithy Arms. Brilliant! We've decided to watch Nina B and her guitarist! It's absolutely amazing voice Nina has, and even guitarists can sing as well. My shandy was tastier. We also booked in for Sunday lunch and have to say it was absolutely delicious and the toffee pudding too. The starter menu could improve much more, such as prawn cocktails and garlic mushrooms, which are popular in restaurants and pubs. Teams are so friendly, and making us welcome and we always visit the locals and support them.

Been here many times and the service and food is excellent.choice of menu is brilliant and one of our party is a vegetarian and she rated it as one of the best places she had eaten at . Cannot recommend this place highly Enough, may I add the young staff in the establishment are truly amazing and so attentive to your needs. Without a doubt if you you are in the area you should take the time to visit this place to dine and the atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming and the pub dog Milo if you’re a dog lover is a beautiful golden Labrador is worth a visit just to see him.
