The Brasserie Restaurant And Bar

Really excellent food, great portion sizes at reasonable prices. Pleasant, friendly staff. Restaurant is a bit tired but standard of food far outweighs this. Good place for an honest good meal.

Breakfast buffet was outstanding. The wide selection included several surprises like country ham, pork n beans, Asian noodles and whole mushroom. Dinner of meat pizza and carrot soup was delicious. Service was top notch.

We were pleasantly surprised with the good bar food, at reasonable prices, were there several times and were always charged the right amount , nothing went awry, for such a large bar it was very efficient. Suitable for children too. Speisekarte ansehen

We were completely ignored by the waitstaff for 40 minutes when we tried to order food. We even went to the bar to ask to place our order, but were told a staff member would come take our order. After waiting and with no staff member in sight, we ended up finishing our drinks and leaving.

There is plenty of seating in this bar but it is a bit gloomy and cold. During the day there only seems to be one person serving and they keep disappearing. We ordered a Club Sandwich which was very good with plenty of filling and served with french fries. Used it a few times for drinks and it is a good facility with Sky T.V.

We went to the restaurant for dinner in one of the conference rooms. There was a manager who seemed unaware of what was happening and kept ignoring us, as well as five staff members who did not notice that we were seated in that room. When it was time to leave, there was chaos as we tried to locate our belongings. I did not expect it to be a self-service cloakroom. Halfway through our starter the main course arrived and just put on the table! My risotto was stone cold and tasted fishy, we ended up having to try and finish our starter whilst eating our main course. We didn’t have time to ask for it to be reheated although with rice I’m not sure if this is safe as we were going to the theatre. The starter was mediocre. The Prosecco was super lovely and chilled and crisp. French bread for bruschetta and large plate of rocket with mozzarella and tomato on top for mozzarella and tomato. The penne was good.

Food not what I ordered. I asked for Caesar salad with optional chicken and bacon topping. Only chicken was on it. Given wrong size glass of wine. Waiters can't be bothered to show you to a seat or give you a menu. I was asked several times what I had ordered because it was not written down or waiter had forgotten/not understood. I was told that a dessert that was advertised as being served either hot or cold could only be served cold. It could have easily be popped into a microwave and warmed through but, evidently, that was too much trouble for kitchen staff.

This restaurant was extremely disappointing. The calamari was thick and overcooked, the nachos were tasteless, the ribeye steak was served with undercooked chips and hard vegetables, and the pulled pork burger was stone cold. The service was also lacking, as we were asked if we wanted our main course halfway through our starters and had to wait for the manager for 15 minutes at the end of the meal. We ended up leaving and getting food elsewhere. I would suggest avoiding this place for dining and looking for other options nearby. It does not give me much confidence in trying their breakfast either. Speisekarte ansehen
