"Myself and a colleague were in the area on business and decided to meet up for dinner. The Bull's head is close to the airport and the motorway and seemed ideal. We had a pleasant evening, the bar was busy and the food was standard pub fayre but pleasant. So far, no complaints. However, 19 days later a received in the post a fine from SMART PARKING for £100 £60 if I paid straight away) for having the audacity to park on the pub car park while I ate my meal in the pub! At no point did any of the staff ask if I was parked in the car park or ask for my registration details apparently this is the procedure if you wish to bring your car to the Bull's Head). In another similar comment about the parking scam, the management say the parking procedures are clearly displayed in the car park. It was dark and raining and, frankly, when arriving at a pub for a meal, I tend not to enquire about the parking charges. Maybe I'm old fashioned and out of touch. The management also distance themselves from the fines by saying the car park is operated by SMART PARKING and, by implication, the car park is none of their business. However, there's clearly a commercial relationship between the Bull's Head and the company operating the car park on their premises. I'm sure some of my £60 fine will find it's way into the till along with the receipts for the food and drink. Pubs in the UK are closing at an alarming rate due to high costs, taxation and a general decline in pub attendance and it's understandable that publicans should seek to maximise income. However, rinsing customers with a car park scam does not seem, to me at least, the way to go. I've paid my fine and I won't be returning for seconds."

Stopped for breakfast on the way to Manchester Airport. Far better breakfast than any airport restaurant offers. Will definitely be back.

I felt very welcomed, room was clean and breakfast was lovely. I enjoyed my dinner and had no issues parking. This was a business trip but will be using this hotel for future airport visits

Held a family party here at The Bulls Head. Staff were super helpful, meal choices were correct and delicious. Luckily the sun was shining so we had use of the outside terrace. Rooms were perfect.

Nice clean outside area,car park security you have to enter reg plate Food is delicious recommended philly beef sandwich and fish finger sandwich Food came quickly and lots of it Fish fingers are amazing in a large oval filled with salad and tarte sauce

we ordered 3 meals 2 lamb cofta which arrived with red blood on inside and it took 35 mins to do again then we ordered 3 custard puddings and custard was not warm it was my wifes birthday the lady manager offered 1 free pudding £5 50 it total we spent £90 we will never eat at Bulls Head again

Faultless!! Steve the server was so kind and courteous what a lovely guy! The food was incredible! We couldn’t help but have 3 courses!! The chilli beef was to die for!! My friend had the steak and ale pie and it looked delicious! Creamy mash what more could you want! It was so hard to choose the menu was so varied and so many delicious options! You have to try the chicken salt fries! The lunch menu looked amazing aswell so will definitely be returning… probably next week! Great atmosphere lovely staff and 10/10 chef! Best dinner after a long day at work!

Came here for food prior to airport departure. I had the burger, just a cheap burger, looked very “came out frozen” rather than a proper patty, £15 was well overpriced. Wife had crispy chilli chicken, not that amazing and not that crispy. Asked about fish and chips and how big fish was, waiter used his hands in the international size of a fish language, great big enough for both kids to share. Came out was 3 frozen fish gujons. For £9…. I asked waiter as said fish and chips “sorry must have changed” No requests if we wanted more drinks, nobody asked if food was ok. Won’t be back….
