For the price, the roast was disappointing, with a very small portion of meat and the potatoes not roasted well. However, the other dishes were excellent. Price per person: £20–30. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5.

The dining experience was fantastic, with excellent service from friendly staff. It offered great value for money and overall was a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area with a hearty appetite; they certainly won't be disappointed!

hadn't been here for ever and suggested it as a venue to meet some friends. it has not disappointed that the meals were delicious and generous portions. our waiter, a young man whose name I forgot to ask, was very good in the fact. will surely go back. our waiter was kieran very good at his work. My partner and I dined here and were thoroughly impressed. As chefs ourselves, we especially appreciated the high quality of both the food and the service. The staff was friendly and helpful, even though it was quite busy. The drinks were also top-notch. While the prices for food and drinks are slightly higher, the exceptional staff, inviting atmosphere, and outstanding food quality ensure that we keep coming back. It’s worth the cost.

Most recently, I celebrated my 40th birthday in the new Victoria Room. On a hot summer day, it was airy and spacious, with the added benefit of having our own garden. Guests enjoyed plenty of Pimm's and indulged in a beautifully prepared buffet. Helen and the team are assets to the pub; any concerns I had were effortlessly addressed thanks to their experience in handling events and their attentive presence throughout the evening. Thank you, Helen, the chef, and the entire staff for a fantastic night!

My friend and I came here for lunch yesterday while her husband looked after our 2 daughters. We had the most lovely Sunday lunch and creme brulee. The wine was also very gratefully received. From the moment we walked in the bar man was friendly and chatty. The lady who served us was also lovely and made conversation with us and made us feel like we were regulars even though I have never been and my friend hasn't been for a long time. I don't know the names of the staff but the barman was a tall guy with a beard and the lady was blonde and an ex wren. I can't rate this place highly enough and we will certainly be back with the family in the very near future. Thank you for making our visit so...
