No working toilets, bad rude service, terrible over priced food. Had my worst restaurant experience here.

I miss these so much that my family sent the chollas in the post! Not sure about the eat in food but with cholla this good, just sit in and eat cholla for a 5 star meal.

Unfortunately, the restaurant was closing down the weekend we visited. The building and land were being sold to property developers. It's a shame because we have been dining here for 25 years and only have positive things to say about the food and service.

My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Alpine last week. There were great options for vegetarians. I selected options from the set menu which is great value for money. I had Portobello mushroom starter which was presented exceptionally on the plate followed by Mushroom risotto which tasted fantastic and was served piping hot. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I would certainly recommend this restaurant and will be going back soon.

We read in the local paper that the restaurant is due to close so decided to book before it was too late. Have been to the Alpine several times since the 1970's and have never had a bad experience here. Made to feel welcome on arrival, coats hung up and shown to table. Had plenty of time to consider menu and drinks and then ordered. My only complaint was that the food was served too quickly giving it the feel of a fast food establishment. Not enough time between courses. Still I am glad that I went and sad that it is closing.

We dined at the Alpine restaurant in Bushey on Saturday 7 November. Initiaimpressions were very good, someone took our coats and we were shown to our straight away. A waitress came round with the menus but there was no wine list. 15 mins later she came to take our drinks order and we had to ask for a drinks menu. This is a popular local restaurant but I have never understood its appeal. We live within 3 minutes walk and have tried it on a number of occasions and really want it to be good but we always come away thinking why did we bother...we won 't be visiting again! It was quiet on a Thursday evening and the food was mediocre. We were given ample time to review the menu but it was not until after we had ordered and two had ordered the venison that we were told there was none left..we should have been told at the time the menus were given to us. My wife, son I booked a table for early evening on the occasion of my birthday. We had a nice table in a quiet part of the restaurant. We enjoy coming here as it is relatively quiet and you can have a proper conversation without having to shout. The carpet and material on the walls helps absorb the noise which is good. The waiters were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was excellent as always again you can always rely on getting good food here. The taste and flavour was superb as was the presentation.
