Food was good but the service was a bit slow and unorganized

I have visited this restaurant twice now for family gatherings. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxing.

A place tucked away in Hanley. Lovely service and Goodwood not bad priced at all. I shall return check out the fillet steak and peppercorn sauce yum. Speisekarte ansehen

the prices are reasonable and the service is okay. I enjoyed eating, but it wasn't amazing. I would go back, especially if I had a big party of people, as the escap was spacious and relaxed.

lovely eating especially beautiful ambiente for big parties, steak cooked to perfection. large church conversion go only for the landscape, beautiful chairs and gothic feeling to eat the place, but even better.

The food is nice but the bar is downstairs and the restaurant upstairs. We went at Christmas and a DJ was playing his set while people were sat on the sofas waiting to be seated upstairs in the restaurant; a bit odd. Speisekarte ansehen

Nice food but not so great service. Nearly 3.5 hrs to get and eat our 3 course meal. We were forgotten about at one point until we told the staff how long we'd been waiting. Then we were over charged for drinks we didnt have. We won't be going back.

Despite the initial issue with our drinks, the food at this restaurant was superb. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that our experience was enjoyable, despite there only being three staff members working. One staff member in particular stood out for her hard work and dedication. We can't imagine how they would have managed without her.

Came with a party of 13 for mother's day, but received very poor service, first ordered drinks but order wrong when brought to table, starters good order got write, mains had to wait over 1 1/2 hours yes restaurant busy but come on shouldn't wait that long, they gave us free round of drinks pork roast like dried up leather and very chewy no pork crackling as stated on menu, and no roast potatoes, veg for me to raw after cooking but that's my opinion as like veg bit more cooked , also roast beef as told tough and again chewy, puddings very average, on leaving no surprise present for mothers as stated on menu, so overall won't be going back and won't recommend restaurant either.
