Delicious gin with fancy ice cubes. Enjoyed a fantastic 3 course meal. Prompt welcoming service. Not pretentious just quality. We had such a lovely evening.

Excellent restaurant that pulls all the stops out. The new owner 4 months has pulled all the stops out to ensure an excellent dining experience 28 days old Rib Eye, Local fillet of salmon and a steak burger with all the trimmings Good stock if wines and an 18 Yr old Dalmore single malt . Puddings to die for Staff were on the ball all night Prices around £110

We came in on a tour bus and on a tight schedule and they were gracious enough to go out of their way to get us appetizers and meals served together to make sure we had plenty of time to make our departure time. The food was amazing, I recommend the specials. The price was very affordable, especially for such high quality. If we’re ever back in the area, we’re coming back

Walked in without a reservation this evening, the restaurant looked pretty busy, a lot of tables reserved, however, they seated us straight away, she’d said it might take a while to take our order, but we could have a drink while waiting. Hardly any wait at all, great meal, cosy restaurant,and really nice service. Recommend booking if you can as it was busy I believe kitchen closes at 9pm. Speisekarte ansehen

The Clockhouse fully merits its reputation for fine dining in the Scottish genre. I dined there after a long day's drive and was wholly uplifted by the experience: a warm welcome, attentive, well-paced service, a menu of variety and imagination, and a congenial atmosphere. I dined on tartlet of locally-sourced mushrooms followed by the venison special which was spot-on in terms of cooking and saucing. Wine selection was small but sufficient and offered by the glass, ideal for a lone diner. Staff was small but efficient. Entire experience was so very fulfiling.

Only came for a drink not long after we arrived from an 8 hour drive. Staff, bar, prices all good. Nice seating area outside the place aswell to relax. Only thing that marred my experience was a local weirdo Steve on his mobility scooter who likes to talk to people whilst blowing his cigarette smoke everywhere and talk absolute drivel to a couple of tired and weary travellers. He was a nice enough bloke really, but refused to take the hints that we wanted to enjoy our drinks in peace. As far as the place goes, great but just be on the lookout if you choose to sit outside.

Booked by phone and they had a single setting table for me which made a nice change. I asked for guidance on the wine, but the server couldn’t offer any advice. Disappointed with the starter which sounded great but was just a 70’s prawn cocktail with smoked salmon on top. The Sea-bass special was fantastic, worth the visit just for that. But then was immediately asked if I wanted the dessert menu, I said not yet, so they brought the bill. I explained I simply wanted more time before dessert. The dessert menu was uninspired and I wish restaurants tried harder. The bill was brought unasked as soon as dessert was cleared, ‘no rush’ they said, then brought and left the card machine on the table.... Speisekarte ansehen
