"We had been recommended a drive over the Campsies and were told to be sure to go to the Courtyard Café at Fintry for a cuppa. We were advised that it is so popular that we should consider making an advance reservation. As we are...sceptical about eating out in the week that lockdown was lifted we did not reserve. When we arrived at Knockraich Farm, where Courtyard Café is situated, we found a long queue of people waiting for take-away food. The queue was well managed and there was adequate social distancing. A waitress told us that there was seating available inside if we wanted, so we went in to have a look before deciding. We found the staff all wearing masks and all food properly protected. It was immaculate and tables had been spaced to ensure social distancing and so we opted to stay. We had home-made and still warm scones with raspberry jam and cream, accompanied by a large pot of tea. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Outside, the farm is in an idyllic location overlooking Campsie Fell. The farmhouse has a lovely, colourful garden, and a chicken run with very friendly birds was of interest to children. We will return....."

very nice location on a farm right in front of fintry. nice staff, pleasant environment and the best mandelkuchen of all time. scones also first class. we had no lunch, but that looked great

a delicious lunch with suppe and sandwiches. prawn and salmon open sandwich had many garnels. suppe was delicious. coffee was excellent. personal friendly and attentive . cough rhabarb yogurt on the way to home, again delicious. Speisekarte ansehen

beautiful location. perfect in the interior and outside. first visit, but not the last. staff welcome, friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable about their products. everything we had from the venison pate to the cakes and coffees were first class. unsafe service anywhere. are looking forward to our next visit. a little hidden gem in the did. thank you.

Lunch today in the Courtyard Cafe was excellent. Beautiful surroundings both inside and out. Slightly out of the way but the quality of food and service made the trip worthwhile. Waiting staff matched the excellence of the farm fresh cuisine. Ploughman’s lunch was well worth...the steal from the ploughman and my lemon/thyme quiche salad topped the list as one of my favourite lunches. The friendly waitress took the time to give me the recipe, much appreciated. One small niggle, I have asthma and found the plants/scents inside quite overpowering at first but luckily our table was beside a window which we could open.
