The Cricketers Public House

I had another fantastic meal at this restaurant. I might have to start coming here every day! The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly.

Visited on a lunchtime, my husband and myself, shared a bottle of wine, and ordered a brie and bacon bagette and a sausage and onion bagette, both were generously filled, hot, fresh and tasty, lovely staff, everything was fantastic

Popped in this pub on Jubilee weekend. The garden was quite spacious and served really nice, reasonably priced food. Halloumi sticks were great! Lived in Chelmo 16 years and not been in before, will be back! And the soul night is 18th June here. Speisekarte ansehen

The restaurant has excellent staff, a wide selection of beers on tap, delicious food, and screens showing sports. What stood out most to us is that they were very welcoming to our young family. In our opinion, this is the friendliest pub in Chelmsford.

My wife won a raffle prize at a local school giving two free meals at this Pub. We visited today 22/05/2018. Great service very friendly and good freshly cooked food. Thoroughly recommend if you want a well cooked and prepared pub lunch. Ale's are good too. Will certainly return.

This restaurant serves traditional pub food, but with a special touch. The chef incorporates homemade elements and offers some classic favorites on the menu. It's not every day you see Bread Butter Pudding on the menu, and it's delicious! The welcoming atmosphere of this pub makes it a must-visit venue. Speisekarte ansehen

Recently started serving food again following the Covid 19 lock down. They have introduced a Friday Pizza Night. OMG, brilliant pizza's and i'll even say they are better than most I have tried in the town center, but half the price here. Great atmosphere also considering the current climate. Will definitely make this a regular Friday night attendance, with a couple of draft beers too, obviously :

Myself and 2 friends called in here before a t20 game between Essex and Somerset last week. Good selection of beers, many I've not heard of either. I had 2 different ones, very nice. I also had a nachos with cheese and my mates jacket pots. All enjoyed our time here and the staff were very nice and helpful too. We went here because after all we like cricket and this is called the cricketers. Would go there again when next in Chelmsford. Def worth a visit.

Been to the cricketers a few times now always found it a friendly place, but today 4 people behind the bar not one said hello. We saw a sign to say you had to order by text so we did still no interaction with staff. Not sure what we’d of done if we hadn’t had a phone? Drinks came with just a thanks no interaction. We had one drink and then left and not one member of staff said goodbye. Let’s hope it goes back to hospitality industry when this is all over.x Speisekarte ansehen
